Omaha H/L hand review.

I guess I'm in need of a refresher in H/L how is my low beat?

8d , 6c, 9d, 10c, 4s community cards.

My hand, Ac, Kc, Kd, 5s

Foe: 2d, 6s, 2h, 3h

Would my A-5 not beat his 2-3?

I just needed to work this out so I could visualize it better and break this down. I am not an Omaha expert, btw, but I think I have a pretty good grasp on this. Hopefully other members can help elaborate or correct me. So let's take a look at the cards:

Board:


Villain

High hand: 6s 6c, 10c, 9d, 3h (pair of 6's)
Low hand: 8d 6c 4s 3h 2h

Hero:

High hand: Kc Kd, 10c, 8d, 9d (pair of Kings)
Low hand: 8d, 6s, 5s, 4s, Ac

You count the low hand backwards from the highest card down. So in this case

Villain: 8d 6c 4s 3h 2h
Hero: 8d 6s 5s 4s Ac

Villain wins the low, because of the 4s. Your 5s actually hinders your low hand against villain. If your 5s would have been a 2s, then you would have won the low and scooped the pot.

Well yeah your hand is beat because of the 5 being higher than the 4,

low hands are counted from the high card down not from the low card up,

.....so an easy way to see your hand strength is start at the top and work down👍

I guess H/L for dummies is just play A/2 low only and pray , I am 90% sure I have it down now. Appreciate you both!
