It was difficult for me to understand how poker hands worked, how to know if I had a good move.
Tell me if it was difficult for them to learn to play

Start by taking the 30-day Cardschat course, it's free, and the content is very good, I'll leave the link below.:)

Learning poker isn't difficult at first, as understanding the basic rules and hand hierarchy is a breeze. However, mastering strategy, such as choosing the right hands, managing odds and reading opponents, takes more time and practice. Poker also requires good psychological management, as you need to know how to bluff and control your emotions.

I'm playing a lot less these days. It was an easy game (for me) to learn. And I learned it well. But the bad beats added up and took their toll. They wore me down psychologically to the point that they affected my play. A simplistic example - it's one thing to know that AA is a strong starting hand. It's another to expect to lose whenever you get dealt AA.

But I'm still fond of the game, so here I am.

I think it's similar to chess: you have to master the movements of the pieces and over time perfect your strategies to win.
With poker, you need to know the rules of the game and the card combinations and then learn the strategies to win.

If you're a beginner, play with fictitious chips for a while to find out when a streak comes up or a three-bet with a low kicker, to see the tiebreaker rules after betting.

I think it's hard to learn how to play good poker. To be successful, it takes a lot of work

Different people tend to learn in different ways. Coaching, training sites, posting hands, and reviewing hands with icm/solver tools are just a few ways to improve your game.

Find what you like and what works for you.

There is no reason to not learn and improve your game.

You dont want to be one of those losing players who refuses to work on their game for 20 years.

Never studied poker, never read poker books, never watched poker courses. I only studied human psychology and worked for many years with people. That's why my poker style of play is never a template, as I adapt to my opponent's style of play in every tournament.

no the game itself isn't difficult to understand,
perhaps the strategy and the nuances of the players are the most difficult aspects to master

I think that learning the basics and be a reasonable player is not difficult. Of course, it demands time and discipline.
Being a really good player is way more hard. There are many different theories about poker, some of them quite complex.
But it depends on your goal. If you just want to be profitable, the path is simpler. If you want to be a professional, it will require a lot of dedication.

It is not difficult to understand the essence of the game at all, I think everyone can play it correctly. But not everyone can play in such a way that they have their own strategy to win and take the first places. You need to be able to control your emotions, stop in time, bluff somewhere, and even be a little bit of a psychologist somewhere. But everything will work out, you just have to really want it, be very interested and be ready to spend a lot of your time.

Playing poker is not difficult. It is difficult to be disciplined and patient. Anyone who is ready to be disciplined and patient has every chance of mastering the game well and making money from it.

The higher your level in poker, the more difficult it becomes to understand various terms and topics in poker, but with work and in-depth study of the metagame you will learn much faster.

It is not difficult, even simple, to learn combinations, strategies and related information, but only a few succeed in following the instructions. To succeed, you need to learn how to play poker, at least learn the rules, winning combinations and soberly assess your capabilities. And the work does not stop there, because skill comes with experience. The game requires a strategy that will lead to victory.
