How to teach poker to beginners?

Hi, at this time i have played Poker for 2 years, i know thats not really a lot of experience but at my rate of play, i know a bit more then most players. I have assumed as director of Poker for my college team, and im assigned to bring new players to play Poker. How do i introduce all this complex game to new players?

To teach new poker players, start with the basics:
hand ranking: From the high card to the royal flush.
Basic rules of Texas Hold'em: The button, the small blind and the big blind.
Probability and odds: Use poker hands to teach them about probability and probabilities.
poker strategy: Teach them about decision making and risk management.

I had no idea colleges had poker teams. I think that's very cool!

I understand Cardschat has a pretty good free online poker course. You could start by having your new players take that course.
