Tournament poker is one of the most interesting and exciting games, popular all over the world. There is no fixed strategy in multi-table tournaments and there can be none. It varies depending on the stage, stack size, opponents at the table and many other factors.

True. But MTT is time consuming No one finish ITM 20% of the times.

Reaching FT is a rarity in big tours, and it is there the big bucks are distributed.

Winning a big MTT is of course even harder. Many have never lifted the First Prize.

So is MTT exciting and fun. Some think so. Others find MTT boring.

Up to ten times more play MTT compared to cash games.

MTT is 80% luck and 20% skills. Cash games are 80% skills and 20% luck.

Since cash games require much more skills learning poker is probably best in MTT.

You could get lucky and win 4-6 coinflips
and be numero Uno in a MTT. Luck is no hard currency in cash games.

It is important to adhere to bankroll management. This is extremely important. You should also always analyse the actions of your opponents and take notes. Depending on your playing style, you need to take into account your position at the table and use this factor to your advantage. It's important to be patient and make good, well-considered decisions.

I agree that most MTTs are close to a lottery (with a small edge for the best players).

If you play for entertainment they do have one big benefit (at least on pokerstars):

A LOT of different and even mixed poker variants.

Just playing NLH or PLO bore me to death.

Tournament must be analyzed first.
STRUCTURE
Analyze the structure of whether it is a tournament with more gameplay (deepstack) or whether it is a tournament with less gameplay (turbos, hyper, etc.).
Next is to analyze the field we play against, whether they are players who think about the game or recreational players who are there to have fun and form a hand to win chips.
The poker tournament has several phases and strategies between them that you can look for information about.
-start of tournament
-middle of the tournament
-ITM Bubble
-Final stretch
-Semi FT
-Final table bubble
-Final table (ICM)
Always seeking information will help your strategy to get as far as possible.
Tournaments are very exciting because we manipulate opponents and play more situations (SPOT) without using cards.
