hands like 77 or 88 can be tricky, especially out of position. Do you usually continuation bet on the flop, or do you prefer pot control?

Learning to play mid pairs requires us to study ranges and range advantage. We play 77 88 on certain boards like it is AA we use it to get folds. We have to know when we can do it that is where studying ranges and range advantage helps us win more with all our hands not just mid pairs:unsure::geek:

If I C-Bet or not is going to depend on a few things, not just what my hand is.
I’m assuming we raised pre flop. Now how many players are we facing here? The more players the less I am willing to C-Bet. What the stack sizes of me and my opponents that are in. What type of players are still in. How does the flop look for my range? How does it look for my opponents range?

So don’t just base it on what your hand strength is, look at all the factors.
Then after all that if you decide to bet, now you have to figure out how much to bet.
Good luck!

Flop a set or forget it. Almost every time I play one of these, an ace hits the river.

Are you using over pot sized bets 1.5x 2x pot on turn to get max value from draws like Ax 1 pair draws when you have sets? If not then maybe their fold turn frequency increases to these larger sizes on turn is a tactic you can employ:unsure::geek:

Without any context and all the variables taken into account, It is kind of hard to chat about poker hands. Everything is in the moment. The more experienced you are , the more things you take into account. If you are just playing the cards dealt you aren't really playing the game on more than a basic level.

The concept of medium pairs in poker is very flexible. At high limits, sevens and eights are considered medium pairs, while nines and tens are considered high pairs, with which you can happily go all-in preflop. As is usually the case in poker, there is no clear answer to this question. Everything depends, first of all, on your position, on your opponents at the table and on your image.
