I played a bunch of freerolls and when I won, I joined $0.10 tournaments. My bankroll started growing, so I upped the buy ins and picked better freerolls like the ones here in CardsChat. For microstakes, the strategy is simple: play tight, aim for ITM, and stick to conservative bankroll management.

If you want to build a bankroll from scratch you will have to play freerolls. Accumulate some value with freerolls and then start playing satellite tournaments. Do not pay Buyins directly. Use the satellites. If you are not able to win a ticket through a satellite, you will not be able to win money from a tournament by paying the buyin. So the satellite is a way to pay a fraction of the buyin and train the game.

honestly I find MTTs take me more time and I struggle a lot in short stack when the blinds increase to a higher level,
but satellites remain a better leverage certs, but for my case I find that I have to increase my level of play especially in short stack because I struggle in the steps.

Moving to high stakes is, of course, difficult by definition, no matter how you handle your bankroll or what type of games you choose.

But if you have to start with zero money, the first step has to be Freerolls or some free Bonus or Ticket.

I gradually increased my sessions. At first, I registered for 2 hours and lasted 4 to 5 hours until a final table. Now I register for up to 4 hours and can go for 7 to 8 hours. Most of the time sessions dont last more than 6 hours. Discipline with studies, nutrition, exercise and sleep is key. But if you are talking about how to survive in a tournament until reach the final table, my advice is also: discipline with studies, nutrition, exercise and sleep. GL at the tables!

What is the optimal and comfortable strategy to move to high stack?
For the last year, my bankroll has been in the range of $100-200. I withdraw everything over these limits. 100-200 dollars is enough for me to have fun and even earn a little extra money. My bankroll management allows me to spend up to 5% of my bankroll per game session.

Earn money in freerolls, then once you have $5 saved up, move on to $0.10 tournaments.

Bankroll management in poker is the art of balancing between risk and potential reward.Minimize risks. Poker is a game of chance, and even the most experienced players can experience a series of bad hands. Setting up your bankroll correctly can help reduce the risk of loss and prevent ruin.Overall, my effective bankroll management gives a player the ability to control their gaming activity and make informed decisions, which leads to a more successful and profitable poker career.

You should definitely start with freerolls and build from there. The casino should be avoided by far and MTTs should be played with low stakes from the initial freeroll winnings. And of course the most importantly, be patient: you have to fight for success and it takes a lot of time and trainings.

For a long time I considered myself a no-deposit... Freerolls, that's good, but...... You start to take seriously when you invest money ... The fairy tale of how to start from scratch and start earning, turns into reality, after a bunch of losses ... When you start to really appreciate money and time ...
