Always wondered when people generally decide to go all in. Pocket Aces are obvious, some do pocket Kings and I'm always a maybe with AK suited. At what point do people be more reserved and either do a small raise or just initally check

While exploiting other players' mistake. If you're playing again a maniac, slow rolling would be good. But I prefer always showing the strength, so no one else besides you and the maniac get in the hand.

When I play with small stakes, I always go all in from the beginning, the chance is 50-50 to double up, so I don't know if I'm doing it right, but most of the time I think I won.

I generally don’t decide to go All In based on a particular starting hand. Instead I base it on how many Big Blinds that I have. If I have 200+ Big Blinds I am really not excited to get it All In here pre flop. Especially if it’s early in a tournament.

I’m not saying I won’t go All In here, if it progresses to that during the fun pre flop raising war that’s about to happen lol

You should take several factors into account. How aggressive or passive your opponents are in their play, how many big blinds you have, your position and your table reputation. If you have a monster, you want to get the most out of it...so...you don't want to go up against 4 or 5 players, at the same time, if you are in early position, you don't want to scare everyone into folding, leaving you with a monster hand, and just the blinds to show for it.

You calculate the probability, the strength of the cards, the stack size is less than 10BB, the opponent is very careful... and when the stack allows you to enter a big pot...

I think it all depends on personal experience, skills, discipline and style of play. I go all-in when I realise I have a real chance of doubling up, or when I know my opponent and realise that his hand could potentially be weaker than mine. In general, I go all-in when I am confident in my chances of a good result.

Whenever I have AKs I consider that all-in is a very good way to play the hand

A free version of GTOWIZARD is very helpful for answering such a vast question---it allows you to interact with Villain actions preflop and get an idea of when we use all-in for value/bluffs-

People go all-in with very strong hands like AA, KK, and sometimes AK, but they are more careful with hands like QQ, JJ, or AQ, especially if they have a big stack, are playing against many players, or are unsure about their opponent’s hand.

It's not.

There are many more factors to consider when shoving than "I haz AK", and there are usually many better ways to play it.

All in situations vary a lot depending on the situation (CashGame, Tournament, Stacksizes and so on).

If you have the best hand on turn or river (for value),
if you want to bluff a player out of the hand (as bluff),
or for protection with a not so great made hand (for protection, semibluff).

If you are short stacked(less or about 25 BB ) in a tournament.

I usually decide to go all-in depending on several factors: the starting cards, the size of my stack and the current situation on the table. It is also important to take into account the position and aggressiveness of other players. Overall, this decision always requires a good risk assessment and the right timing. Sometimes even one mistake can affect the outcome, so a strategic approach is crucial.

Even if you have AA, KK, or AK, you don't necessarily have to go all-in. It all depends on the situation at the time. Try to find out how interesting it is to win with a pair of low cards.

By the number of blinds in the stack, opponents and position. This helps you decide.
Example: I'm in the BB, with 15 BBs and only one opponent opening from the Button. In this case it's all-in almost 100% of the time, except when it's a very marginal hand, like 72o, 82o, something like that.

It's not an easy answer. Preflop all-ins are not always cut and dry. Depends on stack sizes, blind levels, position, opponents tendencies. Pre-flop monsters can get you in trouble and post flop all-ins for value can chase away your customers quickly. If you have the nuts, your short, and the opponent(s) are aggressive then I'd say rock on. AA and KK are not always All-in in my opinion. For me AKo has the same outcome as T9o in most cases so tread carefully.
