The pros say don't limp in which makes sense to me. However on pokerstars in low stakes cash and MTTs a lot of players limp in from early and middle positions. It is not unusual to have 3 players limp in before you. If you have a hand that is in your RFI range do you call, raise or fold?
Yes I realize it depends on the situation but in general what is the best play?

If you place a pot bet of +1 bb per player, there will be only those who really want to see the flop, but you need to do this in position.
But as you said, it all depends on the situation.

The Game changed last ten years. The limp is the new raise, and the double bet is the new triple raise . and some folks bet all on siuted cards.. your decision :) GL

Many players limp to trap today - especially early position holding a monster, its a risk because you see it time after time when there isn't a re raise as thats what they are hoping for - solid play is to raise any limper, im a firm believer in making players "pay" to play.

It depends on your cards, If you have a small or medium pair or suited connectors then by all means just call but if you have AK or AQ or a big pair then you should for sure put in a big raise

Thanks, that how I usually play it except for AQ. That hand does not like me!

Generally you want to have Position on the limpers, and since your hand is generally going to be stronger you can raise. But your raise needs to be meaningful enough to get someone who wants to see a flop cheaply to reconsider. This is the hard part. But if you go big, like take how many limped and just double it for your bet, you hopefully will get some of those limpers to fold. Now you can have a big pot in position with a weaker player. This is a good spot to be in for no limit.
If you limp behind you can be facing a raise from later position or the blinds, or everyone just limps and now you have to beat 5 or 6 players. This is going to be impossible. Your hand has to be better and then hold.
Raise and make your job easier. Good luck!

Depends, if I'm going in the pot with my good opening hand - standard raise, then play the flop as I usually do, 1-3 pot c-bet and see what they do.

When there are more than 2 or 3, in the limp, even with a pair of Aces, I get out, someone is lucky and something unexpected will happen
