I read an interesting article about flush draws and I wanted to see if anyone has even pondered this before.
When I have 2 suited cards and two of the same suit hits the flop, I have approximately 20% chance to hit the flush on the Turn. If it misses we again have approximately 20% chance to hit the flush on the River.
With 7 players in the pot, our 9 flush out could be scattered throughout those other players. So we could have a 0% chance to a 20% chance to get our flush.
When heads up, the worst case is the other player has 2 of our 9 flush outs. So now our Range of hitting our flush is approximately 15% to 20%

I just found this pretty interesting and thought I would share. Good luck all!

This is interesting from a mathematical viewpoint, obviously at the table we never complicate our figuring of outs with this stuff other than factoring how likely our flush is good if we hit. It's notable that some people will chase flushes no matter what.

The rule by 4 and 2 says:

If you have two of the same suit and two of the same suit hits the flop you have 9 x 4 =36 % chance of making a flush on either the turn or river. If the turn card doesn’t hit you have 2 x 9 =18% chance of making a flush on the river.

Don't you simply convert the percent chance to odds (eg. 20% = 5-1 odds) and then compare the odds against the pot odds (true or implied) in order to decide if it is worth betting?

I do like this... 2/3 of the time I like to go until the river when I have the flush draw on the flop, and the other 1/3 I fold
