Avoiding out-of-position play can significantly improve your win rate. Are you selective, or do you play a wider range?

I try to sit up straight and not slouch in my chair, don't know about my win-rate but it's definitely better for my back(y)

Generally I try to have position on my opponent. But of course it depends on my hands.

I play pretty tight and never play with junk. The strength of my hand will always be a decisive factor for me, and of course I always take into account my position at the table.

Selective. Depends on my cards and players behind me. If I got a donkey has a big enough stack, a high VPIP, and he likes to get his chips all-in before the end of every hand he plays behind me I'll widen my calling range. Not many players play like that anymore thou it was style easily beat 15+ years ago.

Cheers!!!

I try to be patient and play decent hands in position...sometimes I play so tight, I can go 30 - 40 hands without VPIP...then I can get a little impatient and chase a few mediocre hands...after losing even more chips that way, I go back to my tight play. Playing in position is important, but having position with a nothing hand is still a losing proposition most often.

I try not to, but sometimes there are hands that invite me to play.

I only raise a pzicion except I have a good hand. Whoever lifts out of position is not a bluff or an ass with a good hand

I bet out of turn now and then, and occasionally play a hand I normally wouldn’t in my position at the table. :)

Playing out of position is tough, so the best move is to be super selective. Tightening up your range and focusing on strong hands helps avoid tough spots where you're constantly guessing. If I were in the game, I'd definitely aim to play in position as much as possible—gotta make life easier, right?

No. Especially on micro limits, because someone always pushes.

I made some heavy comments about position recently in that thread about the poker book. I cannot help but think it is over-rated.

I've noticed quite a few 'new threads' you've been starting up over the past week or so, quite often with questions with very vague, non-specific in nature. Perhaps you're new to the game but typically you aren't going to get very helpful responses if you don't provide a bit of context to the question, ...
ALSO, I'm yet to see you follow up with one of these threads so far. Do you even read any of the responses?

Of all the wonderful ways there are to compromise your own game, none is more common or more costly than impatience. We need to learn to be patient. It seems almost absurd that patience is so necessary to win this fast-paced, action-packed game. After all, sometimes you have to be out of the game to win it.

Playing in position gives you an advantage. You act after your opponent. This helps you make better decisions.
Out of position, you act first. This gives your opponent more control. Playing fewer hands out of position is smart. Be patient and wait for strong cards. This improves your win rate over time.
