Betting too big without a reason, chasing draws with bad odds, playing weak hands out of position... Who hasn’t made these mistakes? What were yours?

My mistakes at the beginning were playing hands in certain wrong positions, one of the biggest mistakes that soon after adapting my game changed a lot.

Definitely! I used to call too much instead of folding or raising, and I’d play way too many hands.

Yes, but it could be worse. I’ve met people who didn’t know anything about draws, odds, outs or position. Players who firmly believe poker is about playing most hands.

Most beginners make the mistakes you listed, so I was no exception.

Limping or checking because I didn't like the strength of my hand.

I will name my three main mistakes:
1. Lack of bankroll management. I simply did not understand this concept, and therefore I repeatedly and regularly lost my entire deposit.
2. Playing with junk. I didn't really understand that you need to play with good strong cards, so I played hands depending on my mood.
3. Lack of patience. I wanted to make up for my previous losses very quickly, which of course led to even bigger losses.

well mostly a tourney player so two mistakes not going for big wins over worrying about making a little money....2nd is not getting the fact that you dont have to be the reason everyone is out of a tournament to win the tournament....so those two capitalizing on deep runs when you have opportunities so like stealing blinds when close to bubble etc....and 2 you only need to beat one person...so you can be patient if the cards are hitting for you and a lot of time move up by being patient

Not moving up in stakes fast enough.

I had like 2000 BI on the lower levels and thought eveyone at higher stakes was a pro or at least very good. That was no the case during the poker boom.

Now it's too late to make a career out of online poker.
