The best strategy to manage variance in poker is to make sure we are using the correct actions with the correct ranges vs our Villains ranges.
If we have AA and our V has a nut advantage vs us on any given board then we have to adapt our play so that we do not lose our stack. We can also avoid variance by adapting our play based on how our V play their range. If we have AA and our V are only getting agg post flop with 2 pair or better then we can fold rather than lose hoping they have bluffs---Even if they are bluffing for stacks 10% of the time we can still fold because the ROI of calling is too low for us to call.
