Hi
Strict adherence to bankroll management cannot be called a full-fledged strategy, but it is a mechanism that will definitely allow you to prevent unacceptable losses and bitter disappointment.
Good luсk :)

I believe that if you have good palm reading, you can avoid many unnecessary bad situations.

Have control of your bankroll, try to play with as few bluffs as possible and try to play with the best hands, luck will always be part of the game.

The specific question is about variance.

Variance increases when we have big gains or big losses in poker.

To "manage variance" or limit variance I would recommend not taking unnecessary flips. AK, AQ versus small pairs is a good example. You're either going to win a double-up or lose everything....variance.

Play games that allow you to play more hands (blind structure). Play more games like the ones described. Avoid non-freeroll games where there are more skilled players who like to push you into high variance situations (all-in preflop coin flips).

Luck is the factor you cannot control. There will always be a bad beat that you can't do anything about. This must be accepted. If you see that it is not your day, then it is better to get out and come back to the game another day.

The best strategy to manage variance in poker is to make sure we are using the correct actions with the correct ranges vs our Villains ranges.

If we have AA and our V has a nut advantage vs us on any given board then we have to adapt our play so that we do not lose our stack. We can also avoid variance by adapting our play based on how our V play their range. If we have AA and our V are only getting agg post flop with 2 pair or better then we can fold rather than lose hoping they have bluffs---Even if they are bluffing for stacks 10% of the time we can still fold because the ROI of calling is too low for us to call.:geek:

Variance occurs even with perfect actions.

Variance is not just losing hands. Variance is also double ups and felting opponents.

Although I admit - perfect actions lead to more variance on the plus side...more money for you..and then variance won't bother you - you will want more of it!
