Taking edibles doesn't hurt my play, mostly because I have my PS5 and other consoles right next to me while I'm folding junk waiting for a good hand to go in with. Keeps me occupied while I nit it up.

Drinking impairs me though. That's why I rarely drink anymore. Traded the alcohol for weed, in California we called that California Sober. Costs me less money overall, better for my health (physically at least), and no hangovers.

Has to be Indica though, preferably mixed with CBN. Sativa makes me head crazy.

Not sure I've never smoked weed, I suppose it makes you feel good but will you play your A game I don't know, probably not. Maybe the feel good factor will help with taking bad beats, again I don't know.

I personally wouldn't smoke weed or drink alcohol while playing poker, just don't think it's a wise decision

I think a lot of people and posters here would be surprised how many pot smokers are decent, good and highly functioning daily smokers. I know few and they either all run their own business or have high paying jobs. They're certainly not your avg min wage employee many would imagine. So really depends on the person.

I partake now again, holidays, birthdays and special events. I can take it or leave it. Doesn't hurt or help me really. Helps with pain relief and stress relief 100%. I enjoy a good indica breed.

Cheers!!!

It won't help online players much, but in a live game, where you can show off the strength of your hand with facial expressions or a random gesture, this tool is considered effective.

It depends. To donk a bit around or to play live yes. If u want to multitable online for serious money over the course of many hours then the answer is a clear no.

1st paragraph, same can be said for many alcoholics. 2nd paragraph, to each his own, you pay down the road or you don't, what you believe in the moment matters little.

A lot depends on your poker skills. If you can play creatively, weed can help you to achieve your tournament goals and read your opponents better. But those who are a fish will not get any boost, but on the contrary, this player will often make rash actions at the table.

No, rather the opposite, you become readable like a Harry Poker book. But I must admit that I won a small offline tournament (for 90 players) at my local poker club a long time ago. But it was more luck that helped me than weed. :sneaky:

Anything that interferes with your ability to feel your opponent's play will compromise your game.

It doesn't matter if it is cannabis, alcohol or not getting enough sleep.

Depends on the stakes you play. Micro/Low Stakes you don't even need to bother profiling your opponents. Just play your cards and wait for everyone to blow themselves up or get it in good when you know you're well ahead. Low stakes can be won usually just by overfolding.

Where did anyone say anything about alcoholics? Thread is about pot smokers try to keep up.

Haha. You're not invited to any parties. Life's to short to not at least live a little. I'm in better shape physically then 75% of avg 51 year olds. We're all gonna die one day. I have concern about letting karma figure it out.

Cheers!!!

For you guys do you find smocking weed and playing poker that's help or not ?
I don't smoke weed, but unfortunately I smoke cigarettes. I believe that any smoking is harmful to health, so it is definitely better not to smoke than to smoke. I think healthy players have a better chance of good results in the long term.

I never tried, but it doesn't affect your ability while playing?
Improves concentration, the brain better analyzes players' actions depending on their position at the table and stack size. Smoking weed is a safe antidepressant, without physical and psychological addiction (I studied it on myself: I smoked 7 days in a row, then didn't smoke 300 days without any consequences for my body and my mind), as well as without hangovers. But the main problem for many people is the desire to experience stronger emotions, as a result people move on to heavier drugs. In my case weed helped me to stop nicotine addiction and alcohol addiction. I haven't used nicotine and strong alcohol for more than 10 years (I can afford not more than 1 liter of light beer sometimes). But anyone who smokes weed will tell you not to even think about starting to smoke. Unfortunately, I have seen a lot of tragic aftermath among my family and friends. So you don't need to start smoking weed to get better at poker. No one needs to do that!

Depends on your goal. If you just want to feel good, and it's not all the time, then sure, why not. Most of us play poker as a form of entertainment, so it's all good, as long as it doesn't become a habit.

But if you want to become a strong, perhaps professional poker player, then definitely not. Anything artificial that seems to aid your performance temporarily won't make you a better player in the long term.

Not to be recommended, especially as a lot of this is now very strong and can cause severe mental problems.

Good question. I don’t know. But it’s like drinking alcohol 🍺. I would not do too much.

frankly I do not recommend it, smoking weed impacts my ability to stay focused for a very long time I feel a lack and it makes me tilt more, I must always have my daily dose of weed, unfortunately I have adopted this BAD habit since my twenties, to stay calm and focused and not tilt but I find myself tilt a lot because of the lack and it depend on each person and their situation.
