So I am new to the site and looking for your help.

Game is 7-card no-peek with a wild card. The wild card changes once a hand shows a pair then a new wild is flipped over every time a new pair is shown. So for example if the wild card shown is a 7, then if you have a 7 in your hand it is wild. Scenario: Four people are playing and two have dropped out and the dealer has the better hand with two of his cards still down. The other player has all his cards showing.
Can the dealer declare victory with his 5 cards and use of the wild or does the dealer have to flip the remaining two cards as there is still another player in the game.

Hope that makes sense and I will look forward to your replies.

What the heck are you talking about? Never heard of this before. If there are 2 people in a hand, somebody would have to be able to show they have won the hand.

If I understand you, turning over his remaining cards could result in his hand becoming less valuable, ie. wild card counterfited, so of course he has to expose them. Home game maybe there is an option of standing pat?
The main point, if you are using wild cards, don't play with real money. :)

By the way, welcome to the forum.

You'd have to run all the cards out. That's the point, you don't know if you're gonna get hosed by the wild card changing. It's like 'Follow the Queen'

All cards are eventually turned over. That is my understanding of that game.

When playing 7 card no peek and the dealers flips 1 card off deck for the 1st person to beat and that person beats it then folds does the 2 player have to beat the deck card or do they start with their first card since the deck card wad already beaten by 1st player?

Wow, you picked an old thread to bump! But hey, it's about 7-Card No Peek, so why not? :D (Also, welcome to CardsChat)

You've brought back a lot of memories! I've never played this game where the dealer flips a "card to beat". Usually, everyone gets their 7 cards, dealt face down (no peeking! ), and the player to the left of the dealer flips their first card. Then the 1st betting round starts, based off that card, starting with that player. Check, bet, or fold, with subsequent players choosing call, raise, or fold (literally no one folds this round, that would be crazy pants).

Then the 2nd round begins: the next player going clockwise flips their cards until they can beat the 1st player's card. They have to keep turning up cards until they beat the previous player's "hand". Then players bet/fold/etc.

If there is ever a time when the next player can't beat the hand before them after turning up all cards, they're hand is dead, and they're out.

After 10 years and this being zman15's only post, I'm not sure he was really looking forward to people's replies. But some say he's still somewhere out there, looking forward to more replies on this thread.

Yeah everybody plays it differently however I'm asking cause we play poker on Monday nights and the dealer flipped an ace for the 1st person to beat after flipping 6 cards the player finally beat the deck and checked I bet and when it got back to the 1st player they folded. Dealer then said I had to beat the ace after he buried it cause it was beaten already. I argued that the deck card was beaten and buried so I should just start the 1st card to beat for the start of the game and the dealer said no you have to beat the deck card which I thought was wrong so looking for clarity so I can bring it forth next Monday when we play.

If it were me, I would keep it so that you beat the guy's hand that folded. He's no longer in the game, but the Ace has been beaten already. Now it's up to you to beat the hand that beat the Ace. I could be wrong, but that's how I'd do it if it were my game.
