In which country is the field of players more difficult to play, more unpredictable?

In Brazil, players are increasingly freer in the game, playing with more hands and more openly, as we say here. What is the line of thinking in your country? Does the old school still dominate, or do you think that players who don't know how to deal with changes in the game become obsolete? Or do you believe that a tougher game, playing with the top of the hands most of the time, combined with the position, is simply more profitable?

I generally play quite conservatively and the Brazilian style of play is definitely not for me. I don't like to play with junk and I'm used to just waiting for good cards that can open up certain prospects for me. If my hand is strong enough, I'll be ready to take a risk, but if not, that's it, just fold :)

The US is the most unpredictable country to play against in my opinion.

Lots are recreational fun players, but then you also have some of the pest players in the world being American. You'll play a lot against Frank the post man who isn't very good, however you might also find yourself next to J-Koon or Alex Foxen on a bad day. While a good player might make a decision for one reason, a bad player might make the same decision for a completely different reason so you never know quite what you're going to get.

I understand you, unfortunately the Brazilian countryside is very attractive

NLH is almost solved so playing loose online is almost suicide.

Look at almost every starting hand chart. No crap hands necessary.

Live is another matter if you have certain reads but the worst starting hands should still not be played unless you can steal pre or post.

So loose, crazy Brazilians (or other nationalities) are always welcomed.

And for me personally, it's easier to play with Brazilians than with others. They all have off-the-scale aggression, you just show weakness and just call their bets and they'll give you all their chips themselves.:)

In my opinion, not only brazilians are unpredictable, but also players from other South American countries plus mexico.

I like to play against people from Latin America. Especially Brazilians. Generally they’re much better at soccer than poker.

I don't think there is a specific country. There are different types of players in every country.

From what I've seen at the tables, I can say that the Brazilian and Russian players are the most unpredictable; they're capable of playing any hand.

Brazilians mostly like to play aggressively, but such a game is not a guarantee of a good result. Most Brazilians play aggressively but not for long :)
I always try to go as far as possible, so I play quite tightly and quite patiently :)

I think that Ukrainian players (not all, but most of them) are more tighter than in other countries because the value of dollar in Ukraine is higher than in other countries. So in other words you can live on 20$ in Ukraine for a few days, while in sweden or Denmark this amount is not enough even to go to the store for groceries.

I'm not sure what you mean by "Old school". The principles of poker remain the same. Trends come and go...strict math, play the person, position is king...all work. Using all of the experience, knowledge and getting the timing right contribute to poker success. It is easy to say that one style of play works better immediately after a televised tournament where that strategy won...the next week it didn't. Adaptability is important, but realize one thing, these little subtle changes in style or strategy are not really new...nobody out there in the world of poker is "Reinventing the wheel".

Latinos seem to prefer lag style on the whole...us players are pretty soft and uk players are probably the toughest ive faced.

It must be admitted that the gap between the country where poker was invented is so great that it is unlikely to be reduced in the near future. Poker in the USA is not just a game. It was invented here, developed over several centuries, promoted, cherished and nurtured. It is a real national treasure of America. As you know, live poker is now king in the US.

I'm Brazilian and personally I don't like playing with people here kkkk. Even more so in cash games, the amount of bluffs that are made sucks of life kkkk, but poker is not a game that we grow up selling, sometimes we see it in movies and series in the USA and just like that to get interested and want to learn, apart from the fact that the few people who don't play that know the game confuse a lot with Black Jack or the 5cards that appear there in western movies kkkkk.

But because of all this, when we meet someone else who knows how to play, it becomes a hell of a union,

Poker dynamics vary by country, but in general, tighter, more disciplined play tends to dominate in regions with a strong old-school influence, like parts of Europe and the U.S. However, in places like Brazil and some Asian countries, a looser, more aggressive style is common, making the games unpredictable. Adaptability is key—players who refuse to adjust to modern strategies risk becoming obsolete. While playing tight and with strong position is still profitable, it’s not always the most +EV approach in wild, action-heavy games. The best players can shift gears based on the table, rather than sticking to one rigid style.

Brazilian players are aggressive and crazy, so it's difficult to play against them.
