Does anyone here play/excel in other games besides poker??

I was just wondering if any skills from those games transferred over. I don't know much about chess. I used to play Scrabble a lot and had memorized how many of each letter there was and would subtract those already on the board/in my rack. Other than that, I can't think of any other skills that would transfer over.

I used to be a reasonable chess player, played for my school team a couple of times, but I no longer enjoy chess, poker has replaced it for me.

The only game I've tried so far is poker, who knows, maybe at some point I'll be interested in another one.

i play chess, and yes you can use strategy in chess as in poker.

As for card games, I've been playing only poker in recent years. Although I know other card games. But poker is the only type of game that really interests me. I don't play any other games, computer or board games.

I was a chess champion in my province on several occasions. The patience and focus on each move carried over to poker, which makes me believe that I started playing poker with some skill.
Nowadays I continue to play chess but I no longer play it competitively.

I play table tennis quite well. I've been playing for over 15 years and I play at a pretty good level. I don't consider myself a professional but I'm definitely competitive

As a kid, I played chess, and was quite good at it...stopped playing for 20 years until I taught my son to play. There are some top poker pros who were chess prodigies, so I imagine the skills do translate to poker.

About 1,000 years ago I was a scholarship tennis player.
I play competitive pickleball a lot.
I play pool ... at which I absolutely STINK ... but it's fun.
I'm rated 822 in Chess and have recent wins over some 1200s.
