Alright fellow Cardschatters, here's your chance to cast your lot. Who do you think will be the big winner when the dust settles?

Come on folks, lets see some votes. Four dogs and myself aren't going to hold anyone in contempt that votes against us, were big boys. As a matter of fact, I don't think either one of us minds being underestimated. Vote it up guys.

Its just a fun play on words man, lighten up. And you can learn a lot about a persons skill level by reading what they post. All this is really done in fun, with a cash incentive. Check out the other post for a new open challenge for all forum members.

Okay, I'm voting for Four Dogs - only because from what Diablo says, Dogs is the underDOG! LOL and he is an online player and Diablo isn't.

I don't remember calling him an underdog. Actually assuming we are evenly matched as far as skill, he should have a slight statistical advantage because we are playing in his "house" so to speak. But thanks for voting and I look forward to seeing you there in your four dogs cheerleading uniform. Haha.

No cheerleading outfit for me! Just an observer.

I said underdog because from your other posts, it seemed you were very sure you would win.

Ehemmm, You can learn alot about a person's knowledge about the game by reading what they post. You can learn a person's skill by how they play at the tables. Like I have also said before "if it is for fun they why are do we keep score?"

It is a "friendly" game with some chest thumping in between. Not that that is a bad thing cause all of us males do it. It is human nature to compete and wanting to be the best even if it is for just a moment.

It truly is more about being the Alpha male than the cash. LOL! And there is a correlation between knowledge and skill, even if they aren't directly related. One can know all the specifics of sound strategy and not know how to play themselves out of a wet paper sack, I agree. But more often than not you can get a pretty good idea about how well a person plays by their level of knowledge.

And Michele, of course I'm confident. If I weren't, I wouldn't be playing with real money.

Actually you can have all the sound knowledge and just need the descipline to put that knowledge into the game. Skill comes from constantly doing the same thing over and over.

Folks that do the same thing over and over in poker are generally going to have a tough time.

I gotta say, I cherish the aninimity and sanctity of the voting booth! So, I cant share with you who I voted for. These are the two strongest posters in my humble opinion.

Diablo, online we wont be able to see you shake, so don't shoot heroine into your eyeballs before you play. (lol) I believe it is currently 3 to 2 in favor of Diablo.
Regardless of how I voted, I beleive these two are more evenly matched.
Anyone willing to lay me 3 to 2 odds on this thing?

I wish the both of you success, and may the bigger suck out win!

Why wouldn't you want to mold yourself after a tight agressive player by doing the same thing over and over to achieve greatness? Yes you would become predictable, however that you are allowed to change gears and mix it up. Using deception by appearing loose when indeed you are tight. Appear tight when you are loose. You are still doing the same things over and over yet you've decieved your opponent into thinking the opposite.
The best players are foxes and those are the ones that one should worry about.

It is the variation in timing that makes you the hunter instead of the hunted. Not simply appearing tight but being loose or visa versa, but making a loose call when you're expected to make a tight one. Specific time, specific move, then back to your normal game to reap the rewards of throwing someone off of your scent. Next time your out of position raise is legitimate say with AKs, there is that shred of doubt in your marks head....is he holding the middle connectors again? That bastard, I'm calling this one!

twizzybop I agree that tight aggresive wins the money. Within the boundaries of a tight aggressive style is an infinite number of variations. You mention changing gears.
Which is "mixing it up", which by definition is NOT doing the same thing over and over. I like the expression:
Infinte diversity, in Infinite combinations.
twizzybop- Im reading your post again, could you clarify that, I may not be understanding you correctly.

You omitted two very important options in your "poll". Without these two, you cannot hope to receive a true representation of the Cardschat population's opinion on this head-to-head match...

* Don't know.
* Don't care.

Rammer - You sound so jaded. So you're in the know... it was Diablo that initiated the challenge (but I think you figured that right?) ... and who cares? I doubt anyone really cares in the great scheme of things, but something to do for a few minutes on Friday. LOL I don't think it should take too long for one headsup match. That's why I was wondering if they'd do all 5 or 7 at one time. I guess maybe there should be other poll options. LOL

You know, it would be fun to have a continuous heads up challenge for cardschat members like in pool. Put your quarter down and play the winner.

Diablo - Quit voting for yourself !!!!!!!!!! ROFLMAO

Rammer, strange because you cared enough to come here and post. Troll.

Michele, as I'm sure you know, you can only vote once and I left the poll open so the results can be viewed by clicking on the number of votes. It shows a list of who voted for whom.

Oh, and Michele, he isn't jaded, just a lonely man with nothing better to do than cliam he couldn't care less while at the same time taking the time to post in this thread. Where's the ignore button when you need one?

Diablo ... Okay, you didn't see the "ROFLMAO" about the voting for yourself??? Its a joke son, its a joke! LOL

Leave Rammer alone - I like him. Don't know him, but I like him. :) Yes, I know -- I don't need to stick up for anyone - Rammer can do it himself. LOL

This whole thread is getting weird. Going to go out and have a nice Saturday... check back later. Have fun boys.

I saw the ROTFLMAO, I was just messing. And as for Rammer, he shouldn't have even bothered posting smart assed comments in here if he wasn't interested and didn't care. Again, he is a troll. If he was truly uninterested why waste the time to come here and say anything?

Where on gods good earth did this poll come from! NOW I'M GETTING NERVOUS! Diablo, think you could overnight me some of that Xanax. Can I vote for myself? Well, all I can say is this. If you haven't been following the recent carpet bombing by Diablo and me, I can't imagine why anyone would be interested in this match-up. If you have then maybe you've developed a like or dislike (more likely) for our styles and you want see one of us get our shit thumped by the other. Another, better, reason to follow this match-up is that I've noticed interest on the part of some of you to participate in similar future match-ups involving other members. I personally would love to see a RammerJammer & Poker Player 100 matchup. Anyway, the fun for me is the lead up and I fully expect the actually event to be anti climactic, and Don't Know Don't Care should have been one of the poll options.

Diablo, your leading 2:1 in the poll, hell even my own wife has got her money on you. But the thought that even one person is rooting against you is just eating you alive. Isn't it?

To clarify Bill.. Mixing it up. You "Mix" it up to become unpredictable not that being tight aggressive is a bad thing. If you are Mixing it up so to speak day in and day out. You are indeed doing the same thing over and over. Just keeping it simplistic cause "mixing" does have the so called diffrent variables you can mix with.
