I know this is Dusty's thread but I have recently been going through this process of picking a training site to join and figured I would share some imput. I will say the site I decided on is the one Dusty just recently joined called Drag the Bar and here is my reasoning why. 1. I am a low-micro stakes player at both HU and 6max so I wanted a site that was producing videos whose concepts would fit with my play. When I looked at the holdem video list pretty much all of them are 200nl and below which fit right in with me. Also, it looks like the main guy producing vidoes for the 6max low stakes is milwaukee2. One thing I did was look the guys up on poker table ratings to make sure they had a lot of hands at these stakes and were big winners there. He definitly met both critera so that was another plus. 2. Another thing to do is browse through the forums and see if your area of play is getting a lot of activity. So for me I went to the micro and ss forum and looked to see if the resposes people were getting seemed educated and polite. I know I don't want to post a hand I played and get bashed by some jerk for my bad play. Everyone there seemed eager to help each other out. I have actually posted several hands on there already and managed to get a ton of thoughful responses already. 3. Since I am a small stakes player I can't afford to be paying a ton for the training, so cost was a big issue for me. Like a few other sites Drag the Bar was offering an option where you could earn free membership. On top of that there monthly fee seemed pretty reasonable in case I couldn't play enough to get the free month. Anyways thats my 2 cents on what I looked for to find the site that was best for me. Hope that helps.
