Hi all,

I haven't been around lately as I've been suffering from a severe case of computer meltdown lately. Bill Gates has got a lot to answer for!

Anyway I'm back on line now and the meltdown did give me a chance to re-introduce myself to the people I live with here.

My wife and daughter. Lovely people by the way.

I'm pretty excited about this years wsop and am sticking with my tip. I think the winner will be a door to door vacuum cleaner salesman, Jim Stolz, from Hoboken New Jersey who stated playing on-line at Empire Poker 2 months ago.

He'll call Phill Ivey's all in bet with 4-9 off suit only to learn that Phil's starting hand is A-A.

The Flop will come A-10-6 and Phil will finally smile (remember, you heard it here first) only to see Jim suck out a 7-8 runner, runner for a straight and ultimate victory.

Let me know your tips.

Oh, by the way...I was only kidding about Phil Ivey smiling!

Who's going to win?

Phil Hellmuth gets his 10th bracelet this year. Final tablemates are Ivey, Negraneau, Ferguson, Harrington, and a couple internet folks. Phil has to have a plastic surgeon flown in to reduce his cranial circumference in order to leave the casino....I keed, I keed. I like PH to win it.

I hopin Ivey, that guy can play...

I always see him makin the right calls, and when he loses, he loses becuz he played it smart, not stupid. But, as we all know, it will prolly be Joe Shmo off some internet site whos bound to get lucky. theres goin to be a record of entries this year becuz poker is so popular now, some wierd guy will win it.

I think it goes back to the "pros" this year after they have had propper time to adjust to the play of the internet gamblers.

I think it'll be either someone who comes in late during the day. As with as many new players that will be there for the main event. Also full tilt poker is giving out a chance at $10 million dollars, if you qualify thru them and win the main event.

WSOP smaller events?

For the main event, with this many people I think it's anyone's game. You need phenomenal luck and skill to get to the top of a field that big.

On a related side note, since the system doesn't yet let me post new threads...

Anyone know if there are web sites giving periodic status updates on the other WSOP events as they happen? I'd really like info on today's pot-limit game.

Thanks!

That would be something if Harrington made it to the final table again. Especially with how large the field is.

Scratch.. why phil hellmuth? what an over-rated player! My god he's bad! Though he did a good quote once "If there was no luck involved I'd win everything" or somethign like that...

I want to see Negraenu win. What an amazing player. So much more down to earth than "The Cowboy" hoyt lol.. Gus Hansen would be good too but he's too aggressive so no chance lol!
