Interesting question.
I wouldn't allow it for several reasons.
1) A young person should engage in learning and acquiring knowledge in order to find a good job for himself,
2) poker, like any game, can be addictive if a person cannot separate his or her private life from "fun/passion/interest", which can be destructive in the long run
3) the life of a professional poker player shown in movies is completely different from real life
4) to be a professional poker player you need to have a very strong mindset. (mature mind -I don't know if I translated it correctly)
5) just like in poker you should use
bankroll management, in life you must use bankroll management (risk only as much as you can lose so that it does not affect your life), if you do not have your own income you should not risk real money on gambling (no matter whether you play EV+ with a lot of knowledge or EV- with no knowledge)
