My 2/5 NL stats as recorded in the Poker Income App:

$/Hour: $143.5
Duration: 272 hours
Cashed: 31/41(75%)
Big Bet/Hour: 28.7
$/Hour Std Dev: $332.04

Are 272 hours enough to say I am a good player in the 2/5 cash game? Is this record sustainable for the long run? I have never seen such high winrate reported by any other players. All I can find is that a good 2/5 player can win $40 - 70 per hour.

Please let me know your thought.

Hi there Alexchen, could you please take a screen shot of your tracker for us to observe this data better?

I don't mind to share though. I forget to say this is live poker where edge would be much larger than online.

I put them in the attachment.

Best wishes,
Alex

It's hard to say with live poker because it is so difficult to play a statistically significant amount of hands.

But your results are outstanding, keep it up!

272 hours should be around 8.000 hands in live poker, so you are winning at a completely unreal 100 BB / 100 rate. This should not even be possible over 8.000 hands, unless there is a lot of straddling going on, or you are Mike Postle in god mode :)

I assume, you are not cheating, and then there almost has to be some amount of straddling involved here? And to access your true winrate as well as variance, its nessesary to know, what the actual average blinds are, including straddles. But you are almost certainly killing the game regardless.

Hey bud thank you very much. Sorry for I was kindda sleeping when I first read it and then I thought this was a winrate for 2 NLHE and 5 NLHE which I believe to be impossible.
But for higher limits such 200 NLHE and 500 NLHE you are playing very well, congratulations! Sorry if I was rude, it was not my intention to doubt your skills, I just misread the topic and thought this was a winrate for the micros. :D:p

Yes, I agree that 272 hours more or less is around 8,000 hands in the casino I played. The 2/5 game is UTG straddle only and a lot of time we are playing a 2/5/10 game. More importantly, this is an uncapped game. You can match the table max and I always buy in the table max. So we are playing pretty deep poker.

My post got deleted? I thought I responded to this. At any rate, you are crushing! I'd love to pick your brain or go over some hand histories.

I've played played MTTs for years, but very little cash. Completely different game. If a newbie asked me for a good poker MTT book, I would say Poker Tournament Strategy by Arnold Snyder. It doesn't sound like you have had much coaching so how did you learn 2-5? And can you recommend a good book/training? lol
