Run it Once, Twice, or Three Times?

Hi poker strategists,

So I just want to know what are you reasons behind running it Once, Twice, or Three Times.
I know a guy who only plays 1/2NLH and he always runs it once unless the pot is over $1,000
I like to run it twice always but I am finding myself chopping a lot of pots in the end.
Should I switch to running it three times?
I know a lot of you are probably going to say "Just run it ONCE" but I am not the luckiest when it comes to run outs honestly.

I've never run it three times. But I think that if the probability of your hand winning is greater, the ideal is to run it three times because the chance of you winning at least twice is greater. And running two, when you lose one, you will be splitting the pot at most. I don't know if I'm talking nonsense??

Run it once always and you will do fine.

if you play very hard and you're really unlucky, you can launch it again and try your chance by playing again and winning then the prizes will close your 2 entrances, that's fine I think

I think the only times you want to run it more than once is when you want to reduce variance or when you want to waste time.

When I am behind I usually just run it once because you only have a limited number of outs.

In a big pot when I am ahead I usually vote to run it three times and look to win at least 2 of the run outs. Just snake bitten too often by those miracle rivers.
