Position is extremely important in cash games. Playing in late position (such as the button or the cut-off) gives you the advantage of acting after your opponents, allowing you to gain more information about their actions before making your decision. Try to play more hands when you are in position and be more cautious when you are in early position.

I mix it up, sometimes i will limp to trap especially when faced with ultra aggro raising player - there are many in a cash game who will empty their stack on AK off or worse.
The number of times i have emptied the clip with AA, KK, QQ versus AK, AQ, AJ in cash games is mad.

The limp reraise only works on totally terrible players. Any decent reg has seen this thinly veiled trap before.

I agree, Position is extremely important for the reason already mentioned you get to act last on the button and can outsmart the aggressive players who will always defend their blinds, What they are missing is once you post a Blind it is not yours anymore, it is part of the Pot and sometimes it's not worth defending.
I will intentionally Limp so that the blinds have a chance to raise me and If I have a monster hand, they had better beware, because depending on the size of the raise and stack sizes I will be calling. In one game I was involved in I knew that the BB had a small stack and his only move if he was going to raise is to shove all-in, he did after I limped and I snap called his all-in after everyone else folded, I won and it was a goodnight from him.
Yes even with a monster hand nothing is guaranteed, but certainly a lot of fun when neither player hits the flop, turn and river, which happens.

You are right about the position, but you must not be discouraged, even if you are the first, you must play strategically and force the table last. If you have a monster, don't show yourself, because most of the time you don't get paid by exaggerating the xbet and you actually cut your crotch out from under your feet. Yes the strength of the position is related to several factors....be smart, clear in your thinking and willing to give up when it doesn't turn out what you hoped for. Good luck at the tables!
Let me add something else, playing at the cash table is something else than a freeroll .I recommend going over the smallest formats because that's where all the caricatures pile up 😉 and that's also where the surprises appear.

I never thought before that the position of the wave can be pushed in with an ace high in any position. Now, of course, I have changed my approach to the game and am working on myself, pursuing the discipline of poker

Facts, it's like playing in the defence position in football, you can clearly see everything confront of you. Once you master it, it's game changer

I've heard this for decades, but if the player in front of you has raised, you call with pocket 10s, an ace flops, and ne continues with a big bet, it's hard to call, even if he has garbage.

"Position is everything".
I don't quite agree with this. Position is important, but position is definitely not everything. There are factors that are no less important than your position at the table, these factors are skills and experience.

You are correct- which is why you use it vs weak players- why play for half their stack when they will play for it all ---
It also works well vs regs who will fold too much of their AA cracker ranges (high EQ hands that have good board coverage) because they are being squeezed between you and the aggro player. When deep stacked getting good regs to fold when they are Ip vs your AA is a win so long as the third player stays in.:geek:

Yes, position is a very important factor, and combined with good hands can give you victories, but if the dealer has a different opinion the disaster is very close!

You can 3 Bet here in position with your TT. If he calls your 3 Bet out of position he is telling you he doesn’t have the best hand. Now it’s different then if you just call his raise. Now you have him OOP in a big pot, this is the worse spot anyone can be in in NLHE.

no im gonna disagree important YES...id say its become less and less important as more and more aggression especially in tournaments is used...I think cash games being able to see whom a person is honestly is most important thing. An example ive sat with johnny chan 2 times...That man has a gift a serious one he can pretty much call the entire tables hands I cant do this...But i can play a bit of sherlock holmes and figure out mostly whom is whom..IE example I can see if your a tourist just having fun and you will almost always call down if im safe friendly and not over betting all the time...Im just there for the experience people are the differenc of taking the money you are there for or being and equal to losing player....Seeing how you handle chips how you talk what clothes even you wear is a gift...I think this is more important at a money table then anything else..that famous line fish shark etc...identifying those that are there just for fun no expectations can mean that 250 or that come out even....Almost every time I play live i see two guys just crazy aggro...You got to control yourself...I have strict rules if you cant read people live you will get ate up alive imo....Cause you need to focus on those tourists you go vs those sharks a johnny chan who aint talking? you will get hurt :) My two cents

The same approach is on Martial Arts. Try to see the abilities of your opponent first. Then us against him.
