When u are nutted and u think ur opponent has a strong hand or very strong hand too.

Sometimes. It depends on the situation and of course my hand. We can actually learn a lot from solvers here, since they use overbetting far more often than the average human player. Of course we are supposed to also have bluffs, if we want to be balanced. But if the opponent is some kind of microstakes donk, and we think, they will call far to much, then its fine to only overbet for value.

Yeah, normally i check raise , but off position i dont know
So you check raise the nuts mostly but IP don't know when to over bet pot? So it helps to over bet pot for value when there are draws that missed that you could have been betting.

For the overbet to work against a thinking player, I think you have to have shown that you do bluff and based on board texture or previous action he would also have to have a piece of the board or if he hasn't connected, he has to have a medium to high PP. Also, a situation where it is difficult to have the nuts (let's say there are three 7s on the board and you have 87), and your story doesnt make sense. (E.g., looks like a missed draw looking to steal the pot on the river)

I find that it tends to work best against passive players who try to bluff catch too much.
