I didn't even realize that they'd changed their Cashback/Reward system. And just now, looking at the new setup I have to say "It is TERRIBLE!" (and looking at my 'Cashback History' I'm just now finally realizing they've implemented this quite awhile ago). I actually played a bit on there in 2024 and going over my Cashback History I just now am understanding how much $$'s I've been ripped off for. On weeks where I'd paid $200 in rake I'd previously get $40 cash back and now looking I see they've only given me $10, lol.
I didn't receive any notice of it changing. I haven't played much on Partypoker lately but did notice that there aren't many players on their micro tables these days. I was planning on making a deposit on Partypoker this week with plans of playing on there more often but now I'm not so sure I will be.
Their old rakeback system was 20% rakeback straight across the board unless you qualified for Diamond rakeback where you could get up to 40% rakeback. Now it seems you need to rake $1,200/week to be able to get 20% rakeback. (pretty double the rakeback on GG).
Partypoker's rakeback structure was one of the good things that site had going for it. I can't believe they've chosen to adopt this new B.S. one.
It happened about a month ago I think, when they started the ‘party cases’ promotion and I can’t find ANY notification about the changes. I just saw one day my little cashback gauge was on £2 and it was like Monday and I only play microstakes so max I used to get was like £5 but mostly £1-2, but it all counts right. Then I realised I hadn’t hit the 50p, £1, £1.50 etc it now starts at £2 and to earn £2 you need to pay £25 in rake (1 point = £1 rake). And after that the next level is £5 where you need to pay £50 in rake. I was kind of going off youd get £10 rake for £110 spend (£11 tourneys being 10+1 ish) so to now get £2 cash back I’d be expected to bet £250 A WEEK? Otherwise there is no loyalty reward anymore for smaller players like myself.”.
In its place I assume is Party cases. You earn cases for rake again, but these cases are 1000x worse than the coffins introduced by PokerStars when they revamped their loyalty program. I mean bronze cases mostly contain 0.01c specific tourney tickets - usually phase tickets with auto-reg, which means you have to be able you play for hours if you beat the phases. It also means if you don’t play MTTs they are useless, I’ve also caught them rewarding tickets for series that are finished and the tickets expire in 3 days yet there’s no game for 30 days. There are also $0.11 and $0.22 tickets. Then you’d expect better in the bronze, silver and gold cases right? Wrong. Same 0.01/0.11 phase tickets. You might get a 0.55c phase ticket or get this 0.25 or 0.5 loyalty points - yes a quarter or a half a loyalty point which is now completely unobtainable to those who would even be bothering opening those cases.
At the same time as this they have tightened their ‘safer
gambling’ rules and limits. So on one hand telling you to gamble responsibly on the other making you have to gamble much more to progress in the promotions.
I would also urge everyone to screenshot ANY prize you get awarded and make sure it’s credited. My partner got 3 x $1.10 tickets from the gold box that never showed up, after the first he screenshot so I could claim it back.
Don’t even get me started on the casino bonuses. You win them in the poker
App but they apply them to the casino app that no one has a clue about - 3 free spins may not seem worth the hassle - but twice free spins have netted me £250 from a zero balance.
It’s an absolute joke. And no one seems to have noticed
