Can anyone tell me how much rake you pay in low stakes cash games say on party. How is it worked out, It’s only paid on played hands right?! Is it a % of the pot? Does it change depending on the size of the pot? Do you only pay rake if you see a flop?

Basically party have changed up their cashback and promos so if you are a low stakes player you will get erm nothing, taken 2 levels of cashback and replaced with ‘cases’ that give you 0.01c tickets that expire before there’s a game but just started this cash promo - To get rewards you earn points - 1 point for every $1 rake paid - first reward at 250 points (10p$) I’m guessing that’s about 2.5k you’d have to win/stake to pay $250 rake?

I’m not clued up on rake and only really play 1/2c or 5/10c max fast forward (struggling with getting distracted lately) and it suits me to drop in and out and not have to wait!

Most sites rake 5 -7 % of all called bets in online ring games . There should be a max cap amount , like 2 bucks at the tiniest stakes and so on . Good luck ...nowadays almost all small stakes poker games are unbeatable long term due to the rake , live or online !

As explained by RENEY444 most sites charge a percentage of each pot, that goes postflop, up to a certain amount like $1.5 or whatever. The most common online rake is 5%, and I have never heard of 7%. As far as I know, only GG Poker charge rake of pots, that end preflop. A 5% rake is beatable in the micros with a bit of table selection. It is going to eat significantly into your winrate though, which is one of the reasons, I personally moved to tournaments.

RENNY444 mostly explained it well enough. I don't agree and 20+ years experience and facts proves micro/low stakes to still be plenty beatable(at least at pokerstars)despite the rake. Pick a style/game of poker you can beat and play it to death. Stay far away from others, their sports betting and the casino. For me it's full-ring cash and longer blind/normal/slow speed MTT's.

Don't how well unkept the numbers/percentages on this website are. https://www.primedope.com/online-poker-rake-comparison-rake-calculator/

Cheers!!!

At micro-limit tables, the rake is usually a small percentage of the pot and is relatively low, such as 2% or 3% of the pot. This is done to make the game accessible to beginning players with limited bankrolls.online poker fees are similar to live games, but they may also include low take-home percentages or offer loyalty programs and rakeback for players.Aggressive Players: Micro stakes often have tables with aggressive players who may make unpredictable bets and raises. This will make the game more challenging as it is harder to evaluate their hand and make decisions.

I didn't even realize that they'd changed their Cashback/Reward system. And just now, looking at the new setup I have to say "It is TERRIBLE!" (and looking at my 'Cashback History' I'm just now finally realizing they've implemented this quite awhile ago). I actually played a bit on there in 2024 and going over my Cashback History I just now am understanding how much $$'s I've been ripped off for. On weeks where I'd paid $200 in rake I'd previously get $40 cash back and now looking I see they've only given me $10, lol.

I didn't receive any notice of it changing. I haven't played much on partypoker lately but did notice that there aren't many players on their micro tables these days. I was planning on making a deposit on Partypoker this week with plans of playing on there more often but now I'm not so sure I will be.

Their old rakeback system was 20% rakeback straight across the board unless you qualified for Diamond rakeback where you could get up to 40% rakeback. Now it seems you need to rake $1,200/week to be able to get 20% rakeback. (pretty sure you'd be getting double the rakeback on GG).
Partypoker's rakeback structure was one of the good things that site had going for it. I can't believe they've chosen to adopt this new B.S. one.
