Did you try omaha cash games?
It's much easier to win than in holdem.
I started with 5 dollar to play omaha and right now i have 47 $.

I absolutely suck at cash games and especially in Omaha.

You can can have the best hand, bet aggressively and they'll still call with their draws and you get drawn out.

Happened quite often when I played those.

So I just stopped. 🤣

PLO games have crazy variance. I remember there was a graph of a high stakes player who was running 1+ million $$$ under ev, so don't get carried away with early "success".

Sometimes I like to play in Omaha for a change, but only in tournaments while... And sometimes I win these tournaments!..

I tried Omaha cash games but the variance is too high for me, I remember getting my stack in a couple of time flipping and losing both times. Equities run quite close so I think it's normal.

Also I dont really know the best strategy for Omaha and I dont think it's worth me spending the time learning as that time could be better spent getting good at NLHE

Omaha cash games tend to be a bit softer from my experience and attract the mega whales because they can get huge stacks very quickly getting lucky.

I love playing PLO and PLO8. AS you say I believe that is much easier to win than hold em in cash games.

I only play PLO cash games and it is just as easy to lose money as it is to win money but it is true there are a lot
more fish playing low limit PLO than NL, if you play good basic PLO you can do well but to say it is easier to win than NL means
you obviously haven't played a lot of PLO, any poker variant is hard to win.

I think it's a very dangerous modality, especially when it comes to money. The player must be aware that in Omaha, whoever has the most money can see the river, because until that moment, anything is possible.

I've never tried it, I find Omaha hands a bit complex, I can't think through the moves.
Someday I'll try, but at the moment it's complicated.

I do not think that plo is an easy game. that is mabye easy to play on microlimits. also the variance is really sick in plo. so i think even the top players in plo can learn a lot from solvers and maybe even this pokergame is not fully solved. i do think nlhe is really easier to learn. you can better learn preflop ranges.

I play pl08 cash games when I can find them, pl0 is great too... great for building nice sized pots👍

I play omaha tournaments and omaha cash games almost every day.
At cash tables, be very careful.
There you will find quiet tables. And there you will see tables with 2 or 3 big shots that are a box of surprises.
I really am honest, I win but carefully.
I prefer to earn 5 or 6 dollars a day and not fatten myself because that's when you start to decline.
In addition, you have to know how to play Omaha very well, it is not easy at all.
