Hey folks, I’ve been playing poker many years now however somewhat new to cash games.. I’m wondering how much your game varies in these two types of poker.. I know what I do differently however I’d like to know from more experienced players what they change in their game. thank you 🙏

I think you need rewind your mind, before you switching mtt for cash games, because one type of hand in mtt brings you the pot, same hand in cash may cost you buyin :)
Another words play tight and take you time to learn your opponents.

Hmmm, I play much more aggressively in the cash game (live and online) + enjoy more...I'm never going to be a real online tournament player... :D

It's different, be patient and figure out when you have to "push"....sometimes 10 minutes of cash games is more satisfying than 3 hours of the tournament

Well the most obvious differences are you aren't constrained by a finite stack and escalating blinds eating your chips,
you are more free to play real poker, play the players, play hands, .......you can be more aggressive, bluff catch more,
build pots more.... cash is much more interesting and profitable to me but to each their own👍

Cash typically plays deeper ie more BBs and MTTs have icm to consider.

MTTs could be are generally more preflop and Cash is more post flop.

One of the biggest differences is that many online cash games are 6-max so you can play a bigger range of hands, especially when stealing. Playing multiple tables is the norm in cash games so you don't get bored. I find cash games to be more profitable, but maybe that's because I haven't quite mastered MTTs. Of course, you never HAVE to play a hand at a cash table, and you can take a break or leave whenever you want.

I see much more fun on MTTs, unless you are a high staker

I don't play cash games, I used to, but I almost always lost money. Cash games are too complicated for me. Instead, I prefer tournaments, and I have pretty good results. My bankroll is growing, and tournaments give me a sense of self-realisation.

How do you guys eliminate tails in live poker. I went to play at the local casino and the guy kept going all in on me every time I was in the pot and then when I had King King and went on in he just fold it so I didn't win a big pot. I end up having a loss other day.

I've been playing poker for more than 12 years, but I'm also new to cash games. I have played them very little and have no experience at all. It seems to me that cash games are much more difficult than tournaments, although maybe it's just at first glance. In the last few months, I've had a lot of power cuts due to constant rocketry, and I've also started thinking about cash games, I think it would be a good way to spend my time.
