Many players make mistakes with the size of the bet. What criteria do you use to determine the right bet size on different streets?

There is definitely no right answer here. Depends on opponent, stack size, ranges, positions etc. Playing tight and aggressive will be correct sometimes while being passive at times is also beneficial. For me, preflop bet sizing is usually over 3x the BB, but not situation. Every street after the flop is dependant on many variables. If you choose to be aggressive; bet over 1/2 pot for sure.

Bet sizing is important, so bet small when the board is safe, bet bigger when there are many draws, and bet more on later streets to win the most or make opponents fold.

Pre-flop: Raise size depends on position and hand strength. Generally, 2.5x to 4x the big blind.
Flop: If you have a strong hand or the board is dangerous, bet between 50% and 100% of the pot. If the flop is dry, bet smaller to control.
Turn: If you have a strong hand or a full draw, increase the bet to protect your hand. Between 70% and 100% of the pot.
River: If you have a strong hand, make a value bet around 75%-100% of the pot. If you're bluffing, a larger bet can also be useful.
Basically, bet size depends on your hand, board texture, position, opponents' tendencies, and whether you want to protect or maximize your value.
