Hey man , we have played against in some tables in the past . I am new to cash games too and hope that a more experienced cash games player will answer this question.
In general, I have read that you should win above 5 BBS/100 , you can see this statistic if your are a HUD user and also take a look at your C/100.Those numbers as far as I know a universal indication in how you perform at the tables. Also to be as accurate as possible we need to have a sample greater than 50.000 hands?!?!
Also we must take into account how many hands are you playing per session. For example in how many hands you have that profit in 500,1000,2000 hands? But if we are talking about 2NL I think it is a decent profit per session IMHO.
From a monetary standpoint the best trackers like PT4 are probably not worth the investment at 2-5NL. But if you play for profit, it should not be your end goal to play 2-5NL for the rest of your life. You are playing these limits mostly for practice, and having a tracker makes it easier to learn and improve. For instance PT4 has a function called leak tracker, which you can start to use, when you have around 10k hands. So rather than seeing the 79$, which a license cost, as "wasted", see it like investing in a pair of quality shoes, if you want to start running.
When do you think it's worth investing in a HUD? I wouldn't be using it to track my winnings, but I've heard it provides statistics on the tendencies of your opponents. I'm generally unsure about the benefits of HUDs.
I am starting in cash and my average profit is 5 to 10 $ in micro limits, I think it is quite acceptable, what do you think?
The OP isn’t around but I will reply for the sake of other forum members:I am starting in cash and my average profit is 5 to 10 $ in micro limits, I think it is quite acceptable, what do you think?
