I see this often in micro games, people who only 3-bet premiums. So how do I proceed with AK against players like this when playing 100bb deep?

If you know they are only doing it with "premiums" that likely means you want to see a flop with an Ace and not too many face cards. Personally I have terrible luck so I try to avoid an all-in flip till I know I've got the better part of the flip. I would just call the 3-bet and play the flop.

Probably just call. It's depends what you.mean by premiums, JJ+ and AK fine to call. If its only.KK+ you could just fold. In practice I think maybe only 2NL plays this tight.

Have a hard time folding this hand preflop, especially on micros. But its a good advice and I call a lot lately against certain players with AK or JJ. instead of 4-betting.

If they only 3-bet with premium hands, I’d call their 3-bet with AK and see the flop.
Yes that's what I'm doing lately a lot. In freerolls j just shove over their 3-bet.

But everything obv depends on stack sizes. I only flat when I'm deep.

Do u play cash, tournaments or both?

Is AQs a premium? is TT? If your Villains are 3 betting QQ+ Just fold AKoff call with suited. Instead call with hands that crack premium preflop ranges like suited lower connectors and win big pots vs them when they cannot fold premium hands. If they can fold premiums even better make them fold premiums post flop using their tight range against them.:geek:

It is common to see players in microgames make only 3 bets on premium hands. When you face this type of opponent in a 100bb deep game, you should fold super tight if they only 3-bet super tight. However, if you notice that they are taking advantage of your narrow folding range, you can start 3-betting AK at some points. You should also consider 4-betting against very tight players. Remember, 3-bet defense is about making a plan out of the box and then adapting that plan to the opponent you are facing. You can defend with a call or a 4-bet, and you should always be aware of runouts that the Nuts may cause.

3-betting preflop is a powerful move in poker, although it has become more and more common in recent years than it was even 5-10 years ago.3-betting inflates the pot, which is obviously good for the aggressor when he has a strong hand.AK or another card, you need to play as your intuition tells you.

In the context of poker, specifically Texas Hold'em, "Anna Kournikova" refers to the starting hand of Ace and King (A-K). The hand gets its nickname from the famous tennis player Anna Kournikova, as the initials A-K match hers.
The term is often used humorously, as it's said that the hand, like the tennis player, "looks better than it plays," suggesting that while it's a strong starting hand, it doesn't always win.
