Has anyone playing on both sites noticed a shift?

I've come back to online poker since November, and I have found the play much harder on 888 than on poker stars. I am finding that the players on stars have been varied. More nit-regs multi tabling, and more maniacs. 4 years ago, I found 888 to be much softer.

This is mostly NL2 6max cash.

over 50k hands I'm up on stars 15bb/100, but I've been losing hard on 888.

Too small sample size.

You can lose or win against almost any player pool in the short term.

But everything under 10-25NL is still beatable with ABC-poker plus a little adaptation to unbalanced players who either over- or under-bluff or call too much or too little.

And as mentioned above by Station_Master: if you sit at a table with just nits or regulars - change tables. At 2NL it's often not enough to just steal the blinds or some small pots post-flop. You want some loose maniacs or calling stations that donate whole stacks on a regular basis.

It depends. If you have money to make add-ons, you should play Poker Star tournaments. But if you don't have that money, you have more possibilities on the 888poker satellites.

The post is about Cash Games (2 NLH).

50k is more than enough at 2NL. If he is winning at 15bb/100 who cares if he ran hot and is actual win rate is 10bb/100 or ran bad and is really a 20bb/100 winner. Either way its time to move to 5NL imo.

playing on 888 feels like, when you sit at the table - you know who is winning ( has most "LUCK" factor ) ....

I think PS's player base is still easier to play at micro stakes than 888Poker's.

I think you have to consider that he stated that he had been losing hard at 888 simultaneously.

If he is winning 10-15BB after 100k hands I agree with you.

Normally I'm all for very aggressive bankroll management and that you move up (and down) within say a 20BI roll.

The problem is that you can't move down from 2NL so normally would I like to see that people are almost guaranteed winners before leaving the training wheels. Unless they are willing to deposit again or play freerolls if they lose their roll.

I'm sure you have seen this:

It's actually not so you might want to evaluate your play.... 888Poker micro cash tables are some of the softest on the internet today.
And, pokerstars are probably the most difficult of all sites.

I always found it more difficult to play cash on 888 than on PS...even in micro stakes...

Yeah fair point, i was assuming 888 is over a small sample , but if its also 50k hands then there is a problem

How can it be easier on PokerStars if there are bots, regulars and pros playing there.
