I played only 18 hands aganist this guy so I don't have much information about him.

Villain SB with ($7.07 in chips)
Hero ($4.78 in chips)

Villain (SB): posts small blind $0.02
Hero BB: posts big blind $0.05

*** HOLE CARDS ***
SB raises 3x
Hero calls

*** FLOP *** [6h Kd Th] {Rake: $0.01}

We have a nut flush draw the villain checks, I decided to check back to get a free card and keep him on the initiative of the hand.

*** TURN *** [6h Kd Th] [5h] {Rake: $0.02}

The turn give us the nuts so he bets 2/3 of the pot, what you do ? How do you play the rest of the hand ?

After some comments I'll post the rivers...

Raise and get it in, if he 3-bets. If he just call, then bet the river.

What hand did you have? It's hard to analyse without knowing, A2s and AQs play differently, e.g. as to whether you should 3bet pre or bet flop.

Since you didn't bet the flop, and have position, I'd just call. If he has a big hand, you'll get more money on the river any ways, and at least this way you can also include his bluffing range on the river by just calling. There's not a ton of risk to just call other than him having a lower flush and it a 4th flush card falling. But you'll also get some crying calls from worse hands if a 3rd flush doesn't hit and you raise because it increases your bluffing range, as you didn't bet the flop.

Ops! Thats my falt

In this hand I had A2h
Ok seems fine just to flat pre. Flop seems fine to check though ok to stab at too.

The nice thing about A2 is that it leaves plenty of other flushes for your opponent to have. When they bet relatively large on turn, his range probably includes plenty of flushes. With a hand like AQ I prefer call, with A2 I prefer raise and hope he has a flush. Just calling and raising river is not too bad either.

Knowing now Heros hand was Ah2h:

Preflop
You can mix up calling and 3-betting here.

Flop
I kind of want to bet this flop, because there is a lot to be gained by making better A high hands fold. I would feel more inclined to take a free card with a stronger kicker, because then you have more showdown value. Like if you had A9, then you dont mind to keep in his worse AX. You can also get called by some dominated draws, and you can set it up to make weak pairs fold later.

Turn
As I said already raise and get it in, if he 3-bet. His most likely bluff is the naked Ah, but he cant have that, since you have it. Which push him more towards having a hand, that improved and is betting for value. Like a worse flush, a turned set with 55 or a turned straight with 87. These are all hands, that might reasonably play like this, and they will all call a raise now. Even if he is bluffing with the naked Qh or Jh, he might still call and chase after a flush drawing dead. The main rule in poker and especially at low stakes like 5NL is to bet or raise, when you have a good hand. Give people a chance to make some bad calls, because they are more likely to do that than to run a big bluff on you.

I think you should've folded your nut flush here, is the best move because if we do get it in raising on the turn and villain calls we never know what could possibly happen

🤣 🤣 🤣 😂

Just kidding student, let's never lose our sense of humor, have a great day
