I think one of my online leaks is not making enough difficult folds, so I made one here. Was this correct?

The preflop raise is fine, since they are playing deep. Good fold otr and taking advantage of your position you can decide to look for a better place. It is not relevant to block hands like QKcc+ since they would probably have played more aggressively preflop.

I'm not a cash player but why raise a flush board on the river with the possibility to get re-raised as happened here?

I'd just have folded/paid the $5 and either have the best hand or loose to a junky flush. 🤔

not raising this River seems very sus. In about 80% of cases the opponent doesn't have this flush and there are lots of hands that could call; why are we so afraid of this case? If you never raise a River w/o the flush when there's 3 of thee same suit, aren't we missing out on tons of value?

Preflop
Of course fine to raise over the limps. With the big ante maybe the sizing could be even larger?

Flop
Seems fine to check back, but I would also not mind a C-bet, because you have Qc in your hand.

Turn
As played you definitely have to call.

River
From a theoretical perspective raise-folding the nut straight is very exploitable, unless you sometimes take the same line (check back flop, call turn) with a flopped flush. However given that the opponent limp-called preflop, he is probably not a good player, and then I would not worry to much about getting exploited. And for that reason I am ok with this raise-fold. I would not want to do this against a good player though, where for instance you had called his open raise in position and then taken the same line postflop.

I definitely dont think, we can fold to the initial $5 bet getting 3:1. We opened the door for the opponent to bluff by not C-betting the flop, and he could easily be betting worse hands for value. So the choise is between calling and raising, and even that is at least close in my opinion, since the Villain might call with a worse straight, a set or even two pair. Just calling is a bit conservative but ok especially in tournaments, if we dont want to face that 3-bet jam and have a tough decision.

Depends on the player and his tendencies and bet sizing tells (if any). If a solid player takes this line, I can fold the river.
I've seen bad players overvalue a small set in that spot.
Also, the half pot sizing on the river seems kinda small. (Unless he always bets half pot) That K has a good chance of helping you so if I had a flush I would go bigger on the river. I.e., he could not have known you would raise so being OOP might as well try to get more value.

We should've been betting on the flop and calling on the river, not raising. We raise this river only when we own the ace of clubs and against certain types of villains.
