I raised this flop, but now i would call. I think my hand block a lot of hands of his range.

I would most likely just call his donk bet. It keep his bluffing range alive, and it also control the size of the pot, so that you dont end up being against mainly hands, that beat you. It is close though and depend on opponent reads, so I dont think, you made a significant mistake here. Apparently he was just leading with complete air, and you might not have gotten much more from him on the later streets anyway.

OP, you check-raised on the flop.

I think it was fine the way it was. Maybe he had air, but maybe he had a draw or a worse pair. You just never really know with donk bets.

Button check raised the flop lol.

You have the option to call or to raise you are the IP player since the OP player donked into you there is no option to check here.
So no check happened that could be raised.
Terminology mismatch.

I think you can analyze this hand by yourself.
With which hand would you donk as op player? JT, KT, 9T perhaps or any other TX hand.
By rasing his bet (perhaps for information?) you ended this hand here and that is ok.
If he has any TX hand here a call can bring you into trouble if he makes trips or better on the turn card
(any TX or 5X hand possible, 5T will not fold possibly not fold on your raise) or two pair on the turn the only two pair you beat is AT.
You play at the micros, a defense of 5T s in the BB is possible.

The best move here is to call as you said yourself. You keep villain betting his worst hands and build the pot. Plus, we have plenty of bluffs in this spot that calling and raising is very close.

I'd prefer calling, but chances are that you were not gonna get any more money from villain on later streets.

It takes a special type of player to lead bluffs and then 3 barrel off at 2nl--- you will know who they are very quickly-- -your raise targets their continue range best and let's us bluff or control pots often with more of our range vs their weak leads. If we had AA KK we can call more often because the V can continue value owning themselves because they would have more Qx combos as well as bluffing on such a dry board. The over pairs also protect our flatting range really well and help our turn bluffs work more often at 2nl:unsure::geek:
