100 BB EFFECTIVE. NO STRADDLING. IN THE BB WITH 6-4 SUITED. MP OPEN RAISES. CALL. FLOP IS 6, 4, A. HERO BETS HALF POT AND VILLAIN RAISES. I THOUGHT SINCE I'M OOP FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE HAND, TWO PAIR WAS WORTH JAMMING. NO FLUSH SHOWING. I THINK GUYS LIKE NEGRANEAU AND DWAN MIGHT HAVE DONE THE SAME. GOT STACKED AFTER V SHOWS THE THE STONE COLD NUTS.

What was his raise size? If it was very large, as you sometimes see in low stakes live cash games, then you can just fold 64s. Otherwise defending is fine.

Flop
Not sure I want to have a leading range on a A high flop, because they usually tend to favour the preflop raiser. If it was a rainbow board, I might play this as just a check-call, since he can presumably have some better two pairs, so I am not quite in stack-off mode here. As played I call his raise and see, what happen on the turn.

Results
Yes its a bit unlucky to run into top set here, but at the same time, which worse hand is he stacking off for 100BB in a single raised pot? In poker we never want to get into a situation, where we have a hand, thats usually best, but we play it so fast, that we get all worse hands to fold and only better hands to call.

His raise was the standard 3x and I figured he wouldn't muck top pair to a jam. Are you realyy gonna dump 2 pair if the V jams the pot? Yeah luck was against me - happens more often than normal. I would muck KK before I'd muck two pair with that flop.

Maybe but he actually should in most situations. So you are relying on him making mistakes, which you probably did not know, if he actually would.

I would not jam bottom 2 pair myself on the flop. If Villain jam, then at least he could be bluffing, so thats a little bit different.

There are more ways for bottom 2 pair to be beat on the flop than for KK to be beat preflop. If he is bad enough to not fold top pair, then he is likely also bad enough to open all rag aces from MP. Which mean there are 12 combos of better two pair as well as 5 combos of sets, that you lose to. If he only open suited rag aces, its obviously less.
