I recall, when I first started playing poker (After local bar games at the Red-Hot Poker Tour In Ottawa Ontario), my very first online game was at Poker-Stars, and the level of the game was a 6 max and the buy-in (This Is the funny part), was $500, yup for my very first game of poker, I started at a $500 USD level (Like a bamboon boss:p:eek:), needless to say I didn't last long, but I do recall my very first hand, and the action of the hand. I had pocket 5s on the btn (Don't really recall the blinds at that stage, but they were low), and someone opened, and I 3bet and they 4bet (And yup being a noob), and thinking (5s were the nuts:p), I 5bet A.I and that person snapped me so fast and they showed AA but I did end up cracking It and taking that player out. After that the table was making fun of me and saying "How couldn't I have known they had AA or how I can 5bet A.I with 5s" and comments like that, to which I "Called them all on and told them I was winning that game", and generally speaking noob stuff. Long story short I didn't last long enough, heck I didn't even make ITM as I was the 5th player out out 5 players left).

So lets hear your memorable moments from your first game of poker ever, and how did you do, and If It can really top me playing $500 STTs like the bamboon boss that I was back than:eek:

Oh, my first game was a freeroll, buyin = 0. :rolleyes:
I registered in some poker room, and I still did not have money in my account to start playing cache or a tournament with BI. :eek:

Now I have a small bankroll, but I still sometimes play freerolls to refill it cheaply. I also like to play satellites for big tournaments - it's a chance to make a lot of money, and the SnG is a DoN and 9-max regular in 888poker and partypoker. :cool:

I was like 15 in HS and me and my friends were learning to play with play chips online, so we finally gathered and played a cash game with a 10 bucks buy in (Reais, so like 5 dollars at the time lol). I remember playing veery tight with a lot of limping and actually making some money as others were over agressive, good times man haha

My first tournament was on the pokerstars, in the play money! buy-in of 1000 ;p
but I was soooo excited XD

My first game I played live! It was a casino in the city where I was born (Brest, Belarus). My acquaintance with poker was pretty late, at that time I was 20 or so) I met a man who already at that moment (he was 24) could earn about $ 50 for one weigher in the casino! Somehow he wanted me to make him a company and I agreed. For me, acquaintance with poker and related emotions were very unusual and I fell in love with this game. The game itself went like this: a friend played in the NHLE holdem, the blinds were $ 1-2, nothing unusual was there and in a quiet little bankroll Mark melted. My task was to bet 10-20 $ on red-black in roulette)
On roulette we had a small plus, and now my friend decided to trust me with one of the hands. As far as I remember, I was given QJ, we started betting and the full house was closed on the flop and turn. In general, for this distribution, I managed to win about $ 75, given that this was my first game for money in poker, it turned out very well! At us in the country speak that to beginners and fools carries is an absolute truth!))):);)

If i,m right, my first game was about 7-8 years ago. Looks like it was some kind of freeroll at PartyPoker. I won few cents in this tournament and also got a ticket for the freeroll with a greater prizepool. After, i used this ticket and won some money. I don,t remember how much it was, but it was something like finish in top 100, so i got something from this great opportunity.

I think, I played my first hand at a home game with friends. But the first hand about playing poker with money, was at Europoker. Not sure if it stills exists. Was so long time ago, about 10-12 years. And I was playing so bad. :-D

My very first game was a 1/2 NL at the borgota in atlantic city. I turned my 100 into 500 and was hooked for life ! lol. been playing for 10+ years now.

I started with freerolls when i was 14. I won money on 888 and then later in future on PokerStars. After a ear of playing i found my self i a really confortable situation with over 25$ on both sides. Then (on my birthday) i ran 2nd in a 30$ tournamnet on a really big field. Like 1600 people. And i won 700$. Since then i started toplay on some higher stackes. When i turned 18 i deposided all the moeny and started over from playing jus freerolls. And even tho i have about 130$ on my accs, i dont play a lot. Not enought time /: BUT FREEROLS ARE WAY MORE FUN then other tourneys

From the very beginning of playing poker I started with play chips,then started playing freerolls and then I first played for money, the rate was 25 cents

My first buy-in was 0.25 cents, field 45p, finished in 3 and I got something around 30 cents, after that I lost those 30 cents and never won any sit 'n go and got a bankroll with A total of zero cents.

My first online game was on Scorepoker (anyone remember them?) It was strictly freerols on there sponsered by a local sports station. I won a few bucks and some merchandise. That eventually ended and I moved onto Full-tilt poker for small stakes. My first poker game was when I was a teen playing for nickles, games like Indian, acey ducey, Chicago..there was no holdem back then.

My first live poker game was a house game, it was No-Limit Holde'm with a 10dlrs buy in an unlimited rebuys. I remember that I was so nervous xD. Good news its I finished in 3rd place =]
