Stars announced the introduction of Seat Me: it removes the ability of players to choose cache tables and seats at the table. The testing of the innovation will begin in the near future on pokerstars.es.

PokerStars is constantly looking for new ways to create a safe and fair environment for the game, as well as improving the game experience for each user. Protecting our favorite poker game is the main thing that worries us. When making decisions, we take into account our entire huge pool of players, with different needs and desires, take into account the history, evolution of the game, the latest trends. Often, our solutions are quite complex, so they can cause lively discussions.
We are trusted by a huge number of users, and therefore we should be particularly vigilant about the techniques and strategies that players use to obtain unfair advantages. We also need to make sure that we create stable conditions in which those players who follow the rules will not be at a disadvantage.
Such were our reflections and arguments before we announced today the introduction of the Seat Me function. This function is aimed at improving our cash game, namely the process of seating players - it will pass more smoothly, quickly and fairly. Seat Me removes the ability of players to choose tables and seats at the table. Instead, this function will automatically automatically randomly put the player in the game - as soon as he chooses the format of the game and the limit. This function will soon be tested on PokerStars.es, and after analyzing the results, it is likely to be launched in other markets.
Seat Me:
• greatly reduces the possibility of bamhanting
• Prevents the use of auto-fit scripts and improves the field of players - the few players who used software to exert dishonest pressure and hunt less experienced players will no longer be able to continue
• displays poker conditions offline - random selection of the table and table space
• Enter potential temporary penalties to prevent the player from breaking the game - for example, constantly changing tables, stealing blinds or refusing to play with certain opponents

This means that monitoring the tables of the cash game in real time will no longer be available. But viewers will still be able to watch the action - they will be able to view the best moments of key hands, especially with the participation of Team PokerStars Pros.
Seat Me will continue the previous initiatives that we took in 2016 to protect our users and to improve the game's conditions:
• destruction of data mining - we were always ready for anything to completely get rid of the data mining. In 2016, we made it impossible for observers to collect hands for this purpose. We started with Zoom, then Spin & Go, and finally a cash game. We have also updated the policy on the hand charts and the policy on software from third parties, and this strict policy will have consequences for the violators. At the same time, we understand that not all players can know what is allowed and what is prohibited. Therefore, we plan to improve our communication with players in 2017.
• random selection of the opponent - all players should be able to play against a large pool of players, not just against specific opponents. And this opportunity should be for every player, not only for those who play out the maximum amount of time. So now we are testing in the Heads-up Sit & Go lobby of our Spanish client - now before the heads-up play the player will not see the opponent's nickname, which means players will be selected randomly. If the test turns out to be successful, it will be a big step forward against the auto-planting scripts, and we will be able to launch similar functions in other markets.
• Improving the structure of prize payments - the more players will have winning moments, the better will be the terms of the game and their experience. After analyzing the information and reviews of Spin & Go, we found that the smallest prize pools can be a rather annoying experience, especially if the player has a long series of such tournaments. Therefore, we slightly reduced the probability of loss of the largest prize pools, increased 4x and 6x, and reduced the frequency of falling out 2x.
