This is inane. Sharks grind. So they pay hundreds of dollars a month in rake, with the expectation that the site will provide them with fish to devour. Segregate fish from sharks and sharks will just leave for greener pastures, taking the bulk of the site's profits with them.

God it seems exactly like Bovada doing the whole anonymous thing to avoid PT4 and HEM2 and coming out and saying they don't like winning players. Do winning players NOT pay rake? As marg said, its a joke!

Its a complete joke and im 100% sure that cash games above 50nl on all sites that do this will be completely dead.

Maybe they are hoping that all the fish will play on party and will leave sites like stars and tilt if they know they won't be playing against better players and instead players worse or equal to themselves.....therefore it will be known as a fish site, and the other sites will get affected as it will have only the better players on it.....although that depends on partys advertising and promotion whether it will work or not...I dunno

But what wouldn't make sense is, the second that fish becomes a winning player vs the other fish, he then gets segregated to better players! lol Just doesn't make any sense whatsoever. I mean, I wonder what would be the timeframe for being called a winning player in their eyes? Is it literally every time you sign on it chooses the "exact" player pool based on total winrate? Or is their tiers? Either way, stupid and non sensical

Live games rule. They're soft as all hell, they give you time to actually think through your moves and make sure they're +EV, you get to actualy get out of the house and socialize, and if you're playing higher stakes and ballin' it up you can get bitches and business contacts.

I've really not noticed the changes at the midstakes PLO tables thusfar... still plenty of games (400-1k PLO).
At first I thought this a terrible idea. I do see the count-argument though... If it does work in such a way that recreational players make 2x as many deposits as before, due to the psychological issue (or lack thereof) of going bust quickly, then this could work long-term. Of course, Party could have simply made up this data as a cover... but I'm sure it has *some* basis in truth.
Time will tell....
