The most important problems of present-day online poker

Hi all!
What do you think about most important problems of present-day online poker? Recently it got me thinking about trust and transparency to existent online poker rooms in regard of involvement of live-poker players to its advertising. The real famous players which made a name for oneself on the live tables how can concern to online poker right-now?! I would have thought, live and online pokers these are two different game worlds. Such involvement of that kind of players is aimed to promote the online poker and its brand communications by using their achievements in live poker. Is this honourably, fair?
That’s why such way of attraction to online poker leads me to believe what’s the catch in this? What is the mask real online poker world?

I consider the main problem of online poker - the closure of access to the game players from some countries.

That's true many good live poker players do it a lot more for the brand even because their games online I see that there are several very negative players in the online while in live they are very good my thinking and summarizing this everything I think involves very much the brand even though they disclose, there are few players who score good results in online and in the live online poker is another world.

I think that online poker has many problems, but the main thing is the game's integrity and the random number generator.

One reason i like pokerstars is because of Daniel negrenue..Some time ago i read an interview of him and he says something like this... if theres something that does'nt fit with his mindset he says he will just leave something like this i forget the interview...
But I still cant figure out The RNG system the way the cards are dealt is something goin on...
The two hole cards are always the same like they are always in combination like i always encounter cards like 94s 94o but not 93s or 93o is it only me or i dont know i never encounter 93 ...

imho, I like playing live much better than online, but have no choice, since I don't have time to go to casino's and stay there and play, that's the reason I play online.
Now, if you have your doubts and concerns, no one is forcing you to play, right.
If you like it, play it, if you don't then do not.

This article is a well known poker site of Russia. And I see no need to discuss it. plagiarize. It is not your thoughts and you copied from a Russian website.

Since I live in a state that does not allow legal live play I find playing online keeps me entertained at home even if still not legal. Due to that situation I know I am screwed if website is corrupt or account is closed with funds in no matter what. On another topic although I can't prove it the occurrence of hands that cause the pot to build up to max rake seems greater then I see in live play... IDK. Would make sense to me that they have coded that to happen because that is where they make their money. Also feels like the pause of time for the river card when trying to stay ahead seems greater when that longshot outer is hit for the beat... like they need a little more time to find the card to give the beat... lol. I wish an independent trustworthy 3rd party was allowed to inspect the code and certify its fair and honest. Some claim to have that certification, but I don't trust that is completely true.

Sure, every one has right of choice.
Live poker, as for me, is more clear game than online.

Not all online poker is rigged but PS.

The biggest problem is that we need the Government to monitor these poker sites... We have been cheated in the past. So, we can expect more of the same when there are people that will cheat us if they can....

This comment is COMPLETELY UNTRUE!!!
MANY (most) of the Top players in LIVE tournaments have come up through the ranks in the Online poker world (many still play online as well). Look through lists of players who are killing the HighRoller circuits (ie. $25k to $100k buyin TOurneys) and LOTS of them are the same names you'd see online from 2008-2012 & beyond.

I have no clue what you're basing your statement on. Anyone can clearly see it is FALSE just by scrolling down through the lobbys of online tournaments. Check out the list that Daniel Negreanu recently posted on Twitter when he was telling Phil Helmuth that he wasn't in the same category as many of today's top players (Negreanu himself said he wasn't up to par with these guys). Check out the 40 names he posted (which took him 6 minutes to compile).

IMHO when many people is operating with a lot of money some authorities in the loop. The question is how deep they involved thereto and what they in charge of?

It's all about the money. In the US, the sites are offshore with no regulation. No idea if we'll get paid, and who has access to the servers/software.

I agree. RNG's could be improved. A lot! 72 off seems to beat AA wayyyy too often. Have paid a lot more attention lately by avoiding any all-in situations and watching the worst hand going in winning much more than odds would indicate.

As players we are told they pass some kind of test by someone we never see. Too many past scandals not to suspect some kind of manipulation in this area.

Newbies and losers tend to go all-in with everything. Rewarding them keeps the sucker crowd higher. Good and better players recognize what is happening and go somewhere else or adapt by not using all-in.

Payment methods are the next most restrictive function of these sites. Offering GTD tourneys for as much as a $1,000,000. How do you get your winnings with a $3,000 every 3 months limit on withdrawals???

I admit these are not problems I am currently faced with but they do keep me playing freerolls and not liking any of these sites as they currently exist.

ignition Poker with their anonymous number system at the tables avoiding names and avatars prevents tracking by players and software. A good move in my book. Still does nothing to stop collusion or anything done on their side of the software.

I play to pass the time. Like any other gamer. Making millions is not my goal. But many are drawn expecting an honest shake for their investment and it is still not possible to say they are getting it 100% of the time.

Honesty and integrity are claimed and implied, NOT proven or guaranteed by God or oversight.

Most inquiries into RNG's or honesty are met with openly hostile replies telling the questioner they can trust simply because the site or their backers SAY SO...

Software is not random. slots and all video games are programmed to lose long term. Precise and exact.

As long as you can accept the results knowing these things then enjoy. Keep your investments to a minimum. None of us know for sure who in the world is on the other side of that screen.

I thought the exact opposite . The hide from search feature stops players tracking suspect colluders and tracking did allow me to follow big winners to see if they were actual frequent players or flybye accounts .
This open examination which was once available didnt last long and all player notes conveniently disappeared from my poker stars files.
I think the Ignition system leads to less accountability . I dont think this is a good move .
