ATT&T Uverse fiber and connection issue with pokerstars.net

Recently we moved to a new home where the subdivision has underground utilities including optic fiber cable. We chose AT&T because of the fast speed and relative low cost of their internet service when we bundled services. Unfortunately, myself and some other ATT&T Uverse fiber users can not connect to pokerstars.net reliably. There are times it wont connect at all, showing the pokerstars network green crawler going back and forth until after 5 minutes or so a connection error pops up. Other times, I get logged in fast, everything working as it should so I pay the play-money tournament buy in, enjoy a few hands only to have the network drop me. I might get disconnected for a minute or two, other times I can't reconnect no matter how long I wait. If anyone can provide some insight into this problem that would be great.
