The World Poker Tour has partnered with artist Daniel Arsham to produce a poker chip set designed to travel through the annals of time.

“Partnering with Daniel has allowed for some truly unprecedented moments and pieces over the past couple years,” said WPT CEO Adam Pliska. “And now, through Daniel’s visionary artistry, we are proud to release an elegantly designed poker chip set that can be obtained by art and poker enthusiasts from across the globe.”

Art and poker enthusiasts with some money to burn, that is. Limited to 100 sets, the price is $5,000.

And here’s what you get for that cash: 350 ceramic poker chips, two decks of cards made out of linen, an anodized aluminum dealer button, and a certificate “ensuring both quality and authenticity,” all stuffed in a blue aluminum case that, I have to say, is about the same color as my first car — a repainted 1980 Oldsmobile Omega that cost eight-time less than the set.

“The collaboration was an opportunity to push the boundaries of a traditional poker set,” says Arsham. “Through materials, texture, and form, I wanted each element to evoke a sense of refinement and permanence, a testament to the culture and energy of the poker world.”

According to the WPT, “Arsham draws inspiration from poker’s timeless appeal and the aesthetic of classic gaming, reinterpreting these elements through his own lens of fictional archaeology. The result is a poker set that enhances the gaming experience while serving as a statement piece reflecting the legacy and sophistication of the game.”

This is what a $5,000 poker chip set from one of the world’s hottest artists looks like.

Arsham has partnered with some of the world’s biggest brands, including Porsche, Tiffany and Co., Pokemon, Rimowa, Adidas, and Dior. He’s a multi-media artist whose “future relic” style leans-on popular characters like R2-D2 and storm troopers from Star Wars, as well as ancient historical figures.

This isn’t the first t time Arsham and the WPT have paired-up. In 2023, to mark WPT’s 21st season, the New York-based artist designed the trophies that were won at WPT’s championship events. And in December that year, the WPT held the WPT x Daniel Arsham Celebrity Invitational, which attracted stars like Neil Patrick Harris, Patrick Bruel, Arden Cho and Eileen Davidson.

The set goes on sale Feb. 14, at noon EST. It can be bought here.
