The World Poker Tour announced it will return to Cambodia for a second WPT Cambodia Championship in 2025 after a successful stop at NagaWorld Integrated Resort last year.
The festival will run from Feb. 6-24, and feature tournaments with guarantees surpassing $3 million. The largest is the $1.5 million guarantee for the $3,500 WPT Cambodia Championship (Feb. 19-24) — up $500,000 from last’s year’s $1 million promise.
The $1,100 buy-in WPT Prime Cambodia sports a $750,000 guarantee, and takes place right before the Championship (Feb. 14-18). Last year’s Prime event attracted more than 1,000 entrants.
Other notable events on the schedule include the $600 Championship Warm Up with a $150,000 guarantee (Feb 7-10), a $20,000 Super High Roller (Feb. 17-18), and $1,100 Mini Championship with a $200,000 guarantee (Feb 21-22).
“Our festivals in Cambodia at NagaWorld have immortalized some amazing moments from record-breaking fields to the Sexton Cup’s first appearance in Southeast Asia,” said WPT CEO Adam Pliska in a press release. “Look forward to more momentous times to come as we combine the prestige and size of both the WPT Cambodia Championship and WPT Prime Cambodia into one grand festival.”
Paris and then Montreal
În October, the WPT is doing its version of a French braid as it touches down in both Paris and Montreal for two fun series that overlap.
Starting Oct. 14, the WPT will be at both Club Circus Paris for the WPT Prime Paris Championship and the Playground in Montreal for its own Championship series.
The series in Montreal begins with the WPT 500 Championship event with a CAD $400,000 guarantee. It’s six-consecutive starting flights run from Oct. 14 to Oct. 19, and it concludes on Oct. 21.
The CAD $1,150 buy-in WPT Prime Playground Championship event and its $800,000 guarantee will take Oct. 20-25. The headliner, the $3,500 CAD buy-in WPT Playground Championship event with its CAD $1.5 million guarantee, takes place Oct. 24-30.

Meanwhile, at Club Circus Paris, players will try for several championships in Europe. The €500 WPT Opener also kicks off Oct. 14, with the €1,100 WPT Prime Paris Championship taking place Oct. 23-28.

After that, the WPT returns to Las Vegas in December for its World Championship, which, for the first time, includes a $5 million freeroll as part of a promotion for the WPT’s upcoming new online poker suite.
