The Moneymaker Tour hits Daytona Beach Racing and Card Club next week with an 11-day series that packs in eight trophy events, headlined by the $300,000 guaranteed $1,500 Moneymaker Main. The prize pool will be fed with three days of flights starting Aug. 24 at noon. Day 2 is Aug. 27, with the winner declared a day later.

Satellites into the $500 Moneymaker Kickoff started last week and continue through the first of the six flights that will feed the $200,000 guaranteed prize pool. Those dates are Aug. 17, 18, and 19 (11 a.m. and 6 p.m. each day).

A $115 Seniors event takes place Aug. 11, and a $300 “older than Moneymaker” event for those 47 and up takes place Aug. 22. The graybeards will play for part of a $15,000 guaranteed prize pool.

There are also plenty of satellites starting at $70, with a mega-satellite taking place on Aug. 23. The $186 event promises to award 10 seat to the headliner. The “86” in the buy-in is a reference to the cost of the satellite that Moneymaker won to get into the WSOP Main Event he took down in 2003.

This is the second of the new Moneymaker Tour, which first stopped at the Palm Beach Kennel Club in May. There are no other events listed this year, but that could change.

Daytona Beach Racing and Card Club is on the Atlantic Coast in Florida. Its 50-plus tables spreads games throughout the week from 10 a.m. to 4 a.m. and is the home of the localized Great American Poker Tournaments, which run weekly there and elsewhere.

Twenty-five seats will be won on ACR Poker

Moneymaker is one of the ACR Poker Pros, and on Sunday, Aug. 13, at 6:05 p.m., the site formerly known as Americas Card Room is running a $95 mega-satellite where at least 25 $2,500 prize packages to Moneymaker Main will be won. It already has close to 500 entries.

The prize includes $1,000 for travel expenses and the $1,500 entry fee. See the site for more details.

ACR Poker is a global site that operates without government approval in the United States. The site recently updated it security software after a couple dozen players were found to be cheating, but players online report they have no problem cashing out. It’s part of the Winning Poker Network, which includes Black Chip Poker, True Poker, and YaPoker, as well as online casinos and sports book.

Good week for Moneymaker

Moneymaker surprised a few people last week after winning $2 million in the $220,000 Triton Poker Super High Roller Invitational in London. It was his second-largest tournament cash, $500,000 behind the pile he took home after defeating Sammy Farha in the 2003 WSOP Main Event.
