Triton Poker has returned to the UK’s capital for another high stakes festival and, this year, a $1 million cash game has been added to the schedule.
Triton and London have a strong bond. Why? Because it’s where the Asian poker organization set a world record for the biggest buy-in tournament ever held. The Triton Million cost £1,050,000 to enter and, despite the eye-watering buy-in, 54 players sat down to play.
Aaron Zang won the tournament and £13.7 million, but second-place-finisher Bryn Kenney secured the biggest payout (£16.8 million) after negotiating a deal. The record-setting tournament made London a favorite for Triton Poker regulars, which is why the tour is back at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House hotel.
High stakes and high drama in London
The Triton Poker Series London got underway on Thursday with the first of 17 tournaments costing $26,500+. A $132,500 main event tops the bill, but the six-figure buy-ins don’t stop there. The Triton Poker Series London also features a $212,000 No Limit Hold’em event and the Luxon Invitation, for which a seat will cost entrants $262,500.

Buy-ins for all events, including the super high rollers, have a rebuy option. This optional extra, combined with six-figure entry fees, should see prizepools reach sizable amounts. Although those amounts might not match the record-setting prizepool Triton Poker paid out in 2019, they’ll continue the tour’s reputation for putting on big-money events.
Something else that will contribute to Triton’s reputation for high stakes action is a $1 million buy-in cash game. The line-up will include Indian businessman Santhosh Suvarna, Winning Poker Network CEO Phil Nagy, and a cast of Triton regulars.
Triton Poker raising stakes in all games
Triton will air the cash game on YouTube. The first broadcast goes live on August 11 followed by a second on August 12. This alone will generate some hype around the Triton Poker Series London because high stakes cash games are all the rage right now.
Hustler Casino Live has been breaking records with its streams, but Triton also has a history of seven-figure pots. The organizers will want more of the same when the world’s richest poker players take the felt in London.
However, before that, fans can watch the tournament action live on YouTube. The first stream aired yesterday (see video above) and broadcasts will continue until Triton London concludes on August 10. Then, just when you think it’s all over, the $1 million cash game will be available to watch on YouTube.
