The PokerStars Players No Limit Hold’em Championship final table is set. After a penultimate day of action at Baha Mar, Jose Ignacio “Nacho” Barbero moved into pole position ahead of Friday’s final.

Barbero was a PokerStars Ambassador for many years and remains a part of the extended family. The Argentinian has won multiple titles in Latin America and, last year, he won his first WSOP bracelet.

Now, after losing a large portion of his bankroll in a crypto scandal, he’s back with a vengeance. That vengeance has  propelled him to the final table of PokerStars Players No Limit Hold’em Championship (PSPC).

PokerStars Players No Limit Hold’em Championship final chip counts

  • Nacho Barbero – 19,325,000
  • Aliaksandr Shylko – 12,200,000
  • Philipe Pizzari – 11,975,000
  • Pedro Marques – 10,475,000
  • Max Menzel – 5,025,000
  • Niclas Thumm – 1,800,000

Barbero is now just five eliminations away from his biggest payday. In fact, even without winning the PSPC, Barbero will double his biggest live score. Why? Because the final six in this year’s PokerStars Players No Limit Hold’em Championship are guaranteed at least $1 million.

PokerStars Players No Limit Hold’em Championship payouts

1st Place = $4,053,200

2nd Place = $2,542,300

3rd Place = $1,911,200

4th Place = $1,551,300

5th Place = $1,251,500

6th Place = $1,001,200

That’s significant. Guaranteeing a million-dollar payout for everyone at the final table doesn’t happen often, but it’s a testament to the magnitude of this $25,000 tournament. Of course, no one at the final table wants to settle for sixth place, despite the fact they’ll receive $1 million.

The ultimate goal is to win the PokerStars Players No Limit Hold’em Championship trophy and take the place of 2019 winner Ramon Colillas. Along with the kudos that comes with winning the PSPC, this year’s champion gets $ 4,053,200.
