The 2020 WSOP schedule is starting to take shape. After releasing the start to finish dates for the series last week, along with dates for three events, including the Main Event, the World Series of Poker has now disclosed 12 additional gold bracelet events.
The series doesn’t begin until May 26, and the full schedule won’t be released until next month at the earliest, but it’s never too early to start planning your trip to Las Vegas.
Last week, the WSOP shared the dates for the Main Event, which runs July 1-14. Although many on social media don’t approve, the Main Event will again allow late registration up until the start of Day 2. This will be the second straight year with that format.
What’s on the 2020 WSOP Schedule?
Back by popular demand are some of your favorite tournaments. The 2020 WSOP schedule will include the $1,500 Monster Stack and Millionaire Maker tournaments – two of the largest events each year.
The Milly Maker, which guarantees at least $1 million to the winner, had 8,809 players last year. At the 2020 WSOP, this popular event will begin June 5. Players can re-enter once each flight.
The Monster Stack, on the other hand, is a freezeout. One of the largest freezeouts in the world, actually, with more than 5,500 players each year since its inception. If you enjoy large stacks and freezeouts, you can enter the Monster Stack on June 12 at the Rio in Las Vegas.
The Colossus is back for the sixth year, and like last year, the buy-in will only cost $400 — cheaper than its original $565 entry fee. With the WSOP again pushing the $500 buy-in Big 50 early in the series, the Colossus will take place on June 24.
Another popular tournament that was new last year – the $1,000 MIni Main Event – is back for a second season. In 2019, Jeremy Saderne outlasted the 5,521-player field to net $628,654.
