Thanks - this is really good. It is very timely for me as I am just now starting my serious cash game playing.

Will discuss with the other mods and Nick a good place for it. (It does link to other forums and places that have poker site links so have to get Nick involved).

Lots of kudos to Cardschat included though - thanks for that bit too!

edit: wait i'm an idiot it's hosted on CC already so obviosuly you've been chatting to nick. still, some pimpage needs to occur in the strat section.

Nice, I have not read it yet Icemonkey, Im of the hospital then Ill read it and might try to start me a cash roll maybe just play an hour a day to get used to it.

This really SUKS! I clicked on your link, and up pops this box asking me if I want to 'Open' or 'save' it--I click on 'open' and another box pops up full of GIBERISH!! and then this stupid old computor just wouldn't let me open it! Stupid Computor-Stupid Computor!!!!:mad:

thanks icemonkey9 for the guide. it is perfect for me as that is where i am at in my poker game. i have been playing the s&g's and mtt's for so long and am pretty good but i want to move to the cash game. your guide will help and i appreciate your work in putting it together. i will need to wait till i have the proper bankroll but look-out, i am coming.

any way to get this in another format? i have used adobe in the past but this computer has crashed like umpteen times and it wont work right anymore.

Good stuff Ice.

Couple of points though:

1) PT3 is much better now than it was when you last used it. I haven't had it crash for several betas now.

2) FTP has very recently changed their policy on datamining. It's now forbidden. More info here, Online Poker at Full Tilt Poker - Legal Information: Prohibited Programs. There is still some debate on how this effects personal datamining for table selection.

WOW! Thanks for the love guys ... last night I went to see if anyone commented and I had only 11 reads and 0 replies and I was thinking "boo!" but man I wake up and see all the love. AWESOME!!! :)

FYI - yes, I did contact Nick before posting this and he wanted something to beef up the LEARNING POKER section of the site, and I think this guide is best served here myself. I hope it does get stickied and definitely there will be a part 2, but probably not for another 1k posts :)

It will be stickied - we are just working out in how many places cause it is so good. It should be in the Golden Archives as well.

I for one did not see it until today cause I had major computer issues last night.

Thanks Irexes and Dakota. I actually have written freelance (as some already know) and actually was recently even offered a *very small time* poker writing gig. Go figure.

And I'll take Dakota's nomination for President. I do not belong to a political party and just tackle the issues. I'm pro-USA and con-Evil.
